Monday, Parshas Shoftim, 2 Rosh Chodesh Elul — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the beis medrash of the Yeshiva Ketana branch "Avnei Tzedek" in Kiryas Joel, under the leadership of HaGaon R' Chaim Eliezer Davidovitch shlit"a.

Upon arriving at the yeshiva, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash, where the Rebbe looked around at the bochurim as they were engaged in Torah study. Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a entered a private room, where the Rebbe heard a report from the principal shlit"a and from HaGaon R' Baruch Shlomo Weinberger shlit"a, head of the administrators in Kiryas Joel.

Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Mendel Farkash.

At Hallel, the Rebbe shlit"a approached and led the davening before the amud with great inspiration. "L'Dovid" was recited after "Bor'chi Nafshi," as is customary.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a blew shofar, and during Tehillim said 10 chapters, as is customary during the days of Elul.

Afterwards, a lechayim gathering took place in the beis medrash. Songs were sung, and the Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon the bar mitzvah bochur and upon the Rosh Yeshiva and the talmidim of the yeshiva.

After the lechayim, the Rebbe shlit"a went down to the lower floor of the building, where a branch of the holy mosad Shaarei Chemla learns, where the Rebbe looked in on the precious children and bestowed his holy blessings upon the staff and upon the children.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the Talmud Torah building, "Goldstein Building," where the students of grades 3, 4 and 5 of the branch of R' Yoel Halpert shlit"a were gathered in the dining hall. The children sang rhymes, and the Rebbe wished the children "a good, blessed year."

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Chaim Rolnitzky – HaGaon R' Nosson Dov Schwartz shlit"a, at Keren V'Yoel Moshe hall.
R' Shraga Chaim Feder – R' Zalman Leib Glick, at Kinor David hall.
R' Hershel Yozshef – R' Shmuel Yuda Stein, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

Later that night, at his holy residence, the siyum of the writing of the letters of a Sefer Torah took place, which is being donated by HaRav R' Hershel Spitz, host of the Rebbe shlit"a in Palm Springs. The Rebbe wrote in the letters and bestowed his holy blessings.

Also, Rabbi Mordechai Terverski, son of HaRav R' Aharon Mendel, son of the Skver Rebbe shlit"a, came to visit the Rebbe shlit"a to receive his holy blessings on the occasion of the bar mitzvah of his son, who is taking place this Wednesday in Skver.

Later, the Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at his holy residence, at the tenaim of the mechutanim:
