Wednesday, Parshas Re'eh, 26 Av — the yahrzeit of our holy and pure Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with his successor and continuer of his path in holiness, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

Early in the morning, before Shacharis, the bris took place of the newborn son of R' Elikum Yehuda Grünwald, at which the Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus and with serving as mohel.

At about 10:20 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at Heichal HaMesivta, "Yeshiva Al Kivro — which was founded by the Baal HaHilula zy"a," in the Divrei Yoel branch, for Shacharis. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Yitzchak Rothe.

Afterward the Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles and led the davening as the shliach tzibbur with great outpouring of the soul. The Rebbe's grandson, the young Meir Eliezer, son of HaGaon Rabbi Baruch Teitelbaum shlit"a, went up for Birchos HaShachar and Tehillim.

After davening, at about 12:10, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the lechayim gathering and siyum on Mishnayos, which had been learned by the talmidim of the holy yeshiva. Songs of inspiration were sung, and then the Rebbe shlit"a made the siyum and recited Kaddish. Afterward the songs of inspiration continued; the Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim and blessed the bar mitzvah bochur with his holy blessings, and wished lechayim to all the assembled people, "may his merit protect us."

Then the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words of rebuke and inspiration before visiting the holy grave. The Rebbe shlit"a focused on the words of the holy Noam Elimelech on Parshas Bo, regarding how one says of a tzaddik "his merit should protect us," since in the World of Truth there is infinity. The Rebbe shlit"a explained this according to the teachings of the Baal HaHilula, and brought out that a tzaddik who serves the Creator infinitely may be referred to as zy"a, because his reward is also infinite. The Rebbe shlit"a then brought out that the yeshiva is what he founded, and the yearning he had to bring the yeshiva to Kiryas Joel, outside the city.

In addition, before visiting the holy grave, the Rebbe shlit"a spoke words of inspiration about taking upon oneself commitments, particularly to learn "Torah with fear of Heaven" and to engage in gemach, the things the Baal HaHilula demanded.

The Rebbe shlit"a pointed out that everyone has something to daven for; there are so many broken hearts, and bad news day after day that causes every single Jew to shudder. He concluded with his holy blessings, especially for good shidduchim for the bochurim.

After the lechayim, at about 1:05, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went up to visit the holy grave of his uncle, the holy Rebbe zy"a, accompanied by hundreds of chassidim and yeshiva bochurim.

In the holy ohel, partitions were set up on the surrounding sides to accommodate the hundreds of chassidim, so that they could take part in the holy service of the Rebbe shlit"a during the visit to the holy grave.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, the Rebbe recited the blessing "Mechayei HaMeisim." The Rebbe shlit"a entered the ohel and lit 5 candles along with a neshama candle. The Rebbe shlit"a recited the prayer "Shalom Aleichem" of the holy Yismach Moshe zy"a for an extended time, weeping profusely. Then the Rebbe shlit"a recited aloud Chapters 90 through 107 of Tehillim as is customary, and recited the Yehi Ratzon with an outpouring of the soul. The Rebbe shlit"a read the kvitlach at the holy grave, and songs of inspiration were sung; then the Rebbe shlit"a prostrated himself on the holy grave, beseeching salvations and cures for the community and the individual, that they be remembered for salvation and mercy.

On the way out, the Rebbe shlit"a greeted HaGaon Rabbi Yitzchak Elazar Moskowitz shlit"a, the Shatz Rebbe of Bnei Brak, and his son HaGaon R' Elchanan Chaim shlit"a, a rosh yeshiva in a yeshiva gedola. He also wished a refuah sheleima to R' Yechezkel Friedman of Kiryas Joel.
