"And I Shall Return in Peace to My Father's House"

With excitement, joy and deep awe, the joyous news was received among the members of the community and the talmidim and chassidim of Satmar everywhere: in the past few days it was finalized, b'sha'a tova u'metzuyeres, that this coming Shabbos, Parshas Toldos 5782, IY"H, the long-awaited, historic Shabbos in the ancestral city of Sighet will take place, under the shadow of the holy faith of the continuer of the holy lineage of the House of Etz HaTemarim, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

"May He remember us with mercy and bless them upon their coming to my home"
This elevated, historic Shabbos will be observed with great excitement as "a Shabbos resembling the World to Come" with the leader of the congregation of Yeshurun, the fruit of the tree of life, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the very place where his holy forebears, our holy Rebbes, the tzaddikim of the House of Sighet, davened generation after generation zy"a, where the Rebbe shlit"a will undertake this elevated holy journey of "V'shavti" to the ancestral city of Sighet, on the occasion of the chanukas habayis of the new magnificent "Beis Medrash Etz HaTemarim," the building of Yeshaya Zev Löwy, "and the opening of the splendid mikvah" of R' Leibele Berkowitz, which was erected for His name and glory on the historic shul courtyard, and to hold there, in that very place, a "Shabbos of Chanukas HaBayis."

"For it shall not be forgotten from the mouths of his offspring"
So too, a historic, stirring gathering will be held, a "celebration of hachnasas sefer Torah" for the former Torah center "Beis Medrash Etz Temarim," for the first time since the bitter destruction!! An awe-inspiring gathering that will proclaim "The Eternal One of Israel does not lie," and "it shall not be forgotten from the mouths of his offspring"!!!

"May the merit of the fathers protect us"
During the brief, elevated holy journey of "V'shavti", there will also be elevated, inspiring moments when, together with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, they will visit the resting place of his forefathers, our holy Rebbes, whose merit should protect us, in the holy ohel at the cemetery in Sighet, and will arouse heavenly mercy and bring about salvations for the community and the individual, with all kinds of good blessings for our brethren, the Jewish people.

"How awesome is this holy place"
As is known, several years ago the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a undertook the historic project "L'Chadesh Ora" in honor of the home of his holy forefathers, with the goal of rebuilding the holy place, a beis medrash and mikvah, on this holy site of his great grandfathers, our holy Rebbes zy"a, thereby bringing to fruition the heartfelt desire of his father, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, who would always look forward and express the hope that it would yet be possible to redeem the property and restore the holy place.

Praise to the Almighty, the Rebbe shlit"a merited, with tremendous siyata dishmaya, to carry out his eternal aspiration to redeem the historic property, the "shul courtyard," which sadly stood empty since the bitter war, "foxes walked upon it," Heaven forbid, and through Hashem's kindness to live to see "and to the estate of his fathers he shall return."

However, we must remember for good the faithful emissary of the Rebbe shlit"a, the distinguished askan, the esteemed Rabbi Asher Yeshaya Horowitz of the "Vaad L'Chadesh Ora," who stood at the head of the holy project to oversee the building of the House of Hashem, and with extraordinary faithfulness carried out the holy mission of the Rebbe shlit"a.

"Blessed is He Who has kept us alive, sustained us and brought us to this time"
Now the building already stands fully ready, with all its splendor and comfort and with all its appurtenances!!

In these weeks, a team of askanim in our holy courts and the leadership of the "Vaad L'Chadesh Ora" are sitting in intensive meetings to work out all the details of the elevated holy journey of "V'shavti" - Shabbos Chanukas HaBayis. Tremendous efforts are being invested on all fronts so that everything will go in the best possible way.

"To seat him with nobles"
Special invitations of honor are being sent out in honor of the esteemed benefactors, the "builders and establishers of this holy place," all those who merited to take a share in this holy project in order to fulfill the righteous wish of the Beirach Moshe zy"a and of his son, may he live long, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, so that they may see with their own eyes the fruits of their donation and together celebrate the shared joy of "restoring the crown to its former glory."
