Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Devarim, Shabbos Chazon, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a at the vacation location in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.

This week, the outstanding talmidim of our yeshiva "Mesivta HaKedosha" – the "Beirach Moshe" branch – as well as a group of talmidim of our yeshiva gedolah in Boro Park, had the privilege of spending Shabbos Kodesh in the presence of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

Friday afternoon after the mikvah, the Rebbe shlit"a made the "Eruvei Chatzeiros" between the beis medrash and the neighboring hotel, and gave the privilege of providing the bread to HaRav HaChassid R' Fishel Parkash. The eruv came about thanks to the work of the devoted askanim, to make things easier for the dozens of members of the kehilla staying at the hotel during the weeks that the Rebbe shlit"a is vacationing for rest in New Hampshire

Afterward, several talmidim of the yeshiva presented to the Rebbe shlit"a answers to the question that the Rebbe shlit"a had left them before he traveled to New Hampshire. The Rebbe shlit"a looked over the answers and derived great nachas.

Friday night at around 8:50 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav R' Shmuel Kraus, mashgiach of the Beirach Moshe branch. After davening, they proceeded to say "Gut Shabbos" and the guests greeted the Rebbe.

After davening, Rabbi Eizik Kohn thanked, on behalf of the entire holy congregation, the devoted askanim, may they be blessed with a good name, for setting up the eruv at the hotel.

A short time after davening, at around 10:55, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shulchan Aruch seudah together with the talmidim of the Mesivta and the many guests. The honors were as follows: Eishes Chayil: the grandson, the bochur Meir Eliezer, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Baruch; raising the cup for Kiddush: HaGaon R' Lipa Berkowitz, of the dayanim of our kehilla, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Dayan and Av Beis Din shlit"a.

For the zemiros the Rebbe shlit"a honored: Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Lipa Berkowitz; Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav R' Chaim Elimelech Jacob.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "These are the words that Moshe spoke on the other side of the Jordan," and explained in the manner of a derush the topic of "ad bichlal."

At around 2:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the zemiros at the afternoon tish. The Rebbe tasted from the challah and wished "Lechaim." During the seudah they sang melodies of exile and redemption with deep devotion, with tears and great arousal. For the zemiros the Rebbe shlit"a honored: Baruch Hashem Yom Yom: HaRav HaChassid R' Baruch Mordechai Oberlander; Baruch Kel Elyon: HaRav HaChassid R' Moshe Brach. The Torah was on the statement of Chazal "Yerushalayim was destroyed only because they desecrated Shabbos," and he explained in the manner of a derush matters of the churban, that because the sanctity of Shabbos and the sanctity of the bris were not guarded, the churban came. Bentching: the grandson Rabbi Yoshe Lavin, son-in-law of HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Baruch. They finished at 3:25.

A few minutes after the seudah the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Mincha. HaRav HaChassid R' Aharon Hersh Berkowitz davened at the amud. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: HaRav HaChassid R' Avrohom Masri; Kohen: the bochur Aharon Yaakov Kohn; Levi: the bochur Meir Chaim Shisha; Shlishi: the bochur Avrohom Mendel Wertheimer; Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a; Gelilah: R' Eliezer Gefen. They finished at around 4:00.
