Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Matos-Masei, Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a at the vacation location in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.

This week, a group of talmidim of our yeshiva "Misivta Hakedosha" – the "V'Yoel Moshe" branch and the "Eitz Chaim" branch, Shiur Gimmel – merited to spend Shabbos Kodesh in the Rebbe's presence.

On Friday night at around 9:00, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash and went to the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yosef Moshe Unger – Monsey. After davening, everyone went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the guests greeted the Rebbe.

A short while after davening, at approximately 10:55, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos seudah together with the talmidim of the Misivta and the many guests. Eishes Chayil: Rabbi Yukel, son of HaGaon Rabbi Baruch, may his light shine. Lifting the cup for Kiddush: HaGaon Rabbi Meir Zwibel shlit"a, rebbi and mashpia in our holy yeshiva.

During the zemiros, the Rebbe shlit"a honored: Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon Rabbi Meir Zwibel; Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Berish Gross – Montreal. The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the masorah "Nachnu navor chalutzim, nachnu pashanu u'maronu, kulanu bnei ish echad nachnu," and explained, in the manner of a derush, the sugya of min b'mino. Kah Echsof: HaGaon Rabbi Anshil Karpen, rebbi in the V'Yoel Moshe branch. Bentching: the Zidichov Chareidim Rebbe shlit"a. Stories and anecdotes: this week the Rebbe shlit"a related about the holy Ari, whose holy hilula falls on Wednesday, the 5th of Av. In accordance with the minhag of our holy Rabbeim, the haftarah of Rosh Chodesh, "HaShamayim Kis'i," was recited. The Rebbe shlit"a davened Mussaf at the amud in honor of Rosh Chodesh. Opening the Ano'im Zemiros: R' Chaim Palatschek. They finished at 1:45.

At around 3:40, the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the zemiros at the afternoon seudah. Kugel and lechayim were brought in, along with an extra kugel in honor of Rosh Chodesh. During the zemiros, the Rebbe shlit"a honored: Baruch Hashem Yom Yom: R' Eliezer Weiss; Baruch Kel Elyon: R' Gershon Mendel Neiman; Bar'chi Nafshi: R' Shlomo Hersh Eckstein. The Torah thought was on the masorah of the three times "nachnu," and was explained in the manner of a derush that even when one is able to do only a part of a mitzvah, it too has significance before the Ribbono Shel Olam.
