Before Whom Do You Purify Yourselves

The ceremony of pouring the foundations for the new, magnificent, mehudar mikvah took place at Machane Chochmas HaTorah in Monticello.

As already reported, this year the administration of Mamleches HaTorah, under the auspices of our holy institutions in Williamsburg, purchased the camp for the talmidim of Yeshiva Chochmas HaTorah. The devoted administration immediately jumped into a grand project to build a magnificent two-story building, containing (above) a splendid hall for the beis medrash and its related areas, and (below) a magnificent mikvah. The foundations of the mikvah have now been poured with every hiddur, and the work will IY"H continue with great momentum so that it will be ready for use, b'ezras Hashem, right after Tisha B'Av.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday, [date], headed by the Rav, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din and Rosh Yeshiva of our kehilla, shlit"a. The work is proceeding under the constant supervision of HaGaon R' Hersh Leib Bernstein shlit"a, dayan of the beis medrash 'Beis Menachem Tzvi' of our holy kehilla and chairman of the rabbonim of the Va'ad Hakashrus of Kiryas Joel. The rebbeim of the yeshiva also participated, under the leadership of the esteemed menahel, HaRav R' Moshe Asher Zahler shlit"a.

Immediately after the pouring of the foundations, a lechayim gathering was held in the new beis medrash hall, where the bochurim sang fitting songs in honor of the occasion, and the Rav shlit"a spoke with divrei Torah and chizuk to the talmidim of the yeshiva.
