Fiery holy words, amid awe-inspiring weeping and in a voice hewing flames of fire, from the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, at the kever of the Tanna, the godly Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, at the holy site of Meron, before the recital of Sefer Tehillim.

The Rebbe stood on the words "His Torah is a shield for us, it illuminates our eyes; he will advocate well for us, our master bar Yochai," and burst into stormy weeping: "...Holy Rabbi Shimon, Jewish children need salvations and healings, Jewish children need salvations in both material and spiritual matters..." and he enumerated salvations for the klal and for the individual. "...When one comes to the kever of the holy Tanna Rabbi Shimon, 'Oy,' 'he will advocate well for us'..." And he explained, in the words of Rabbi Shimon, "...Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai can turn judgment into mercy... We have come here from afar to the holy place, the distinguished kever of the holy Tanna Rabbi Shimon..." In this context the Rebbe cited a Zohar HaKadosh on the verse "And behold, the lad was weeping," that Moshe Rabbeinu wept over the troubles of Israel. And with awe-inspiring weeping he cried out to Rabbi Shimon: "...Holy Tanna, Klal Yisroel is crying!! Klal Yisroel is broken!! Klal Yisroel needs healings and salvations!! Holy Tanna, bring about salvations for Jewish children!!! Jewish children are looking to be helped with the blessing of children!!! Jewish children are looking for healings!!! Men, women and children!! Holy Tanna, have mercy!! Arouse mercy for Klal Yisroel!! Jewish children need healings, spiritual healings!!" He continued with tremendous weeping for several minutes, and went on: "...Jewish children need parnassah, Your people Israel need parnassah!! Jewish children need shidduchim!! Both for sons and for daughters!! Jewish children want to see nachas from their children!! Sons and grandsons engaged in Torah and mitzvos!!..." The Rebbe then continued that there are three kinds of exile: Jews among the nations, Jews among the wicked of Israel, and then there is an exile of being under the sway of the yetzer hara. "The last is the hardest, in quantity and in quality." And he explained, in a voice choked with tears, "'And for all the great awe which Moshe performed before the eyes of all Israel'" — that Moshe Rabbeinu took us out of "all three exiles." "'Bereishis' is an acronym for 'Ohr Toras Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.' ...Holy Tanna, we want to leave all the exiles!! Both from among the nations!! and from among the wicked of Israel!! and from the exile of the yetzer hara!! That we may be able to engage in Torah and mitzvos!! To raise our children in Torah and yirah!! And to see nachas with a broadened mind!!" And more strong holy blessings, and he concluded: "Hashem will help, he will advocate well for us, we should merit the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu, bimheira b'yameinu, amen."
