Already in the very early pre-dawn hours, the Rebbe shlit"a spent time in Torah study in his holy lodging at the guesthouse, and afterwards went to the mikvah at the guesthouse.

Before davening, at around 8:30, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the beis medrash of HaRav HaTzaddik R' Raphael Abuchatzeira shlit"a, which had been rented by the administration of our holy mosdos for the bochurim of our chassidim who live in Eretz Yisroel and who are staying in the holy surroundings at the holy site. Hundreds of bochurim were gathered there. The Rebbe went around among the tables and engaged in discussion of Torah with the yeshiva students on the sugyos of their studies, and derived great nachas from the learners of Torah.

At around 9:00 the Rebbe went up to the holy tziyun, to the roof of the tziyun and to a room that had been specially rented for the Rebbe.

At 9:40 the Rebbe came in to Shacharis next to the cave of Rabbi Elazar. After Shacharis in the cave, the Rebbe gave a first haircut to several children from various circles who had come to cut their peyos at the holy site, as is customary. The ceremony ended at 11:00.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place with the bochurim of our chassidim. They sang songs of arousal and devotion, and the Rebbe delivered a rather lengthy Torah discourse. The Rebbe built on the phrase "His Torah is a shield for us" and explained it in the words of Rabbi Shimon, and then explained "I am a servant of the Holy One, blessed be He," interwoven with words of mussar, guidance and chizuk, and gave warm, holy blessings. Afterwards they broke out in a fiery dance to the words "I am a servant of the Holy One, blessed be He."

In the morning, a holy visit was paid to the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a in his holy lodging at the guesthouse by the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Komemiyus-Yerushalayim shlit"a, accompanied by HaRav HaGaon R' Yitzchak Shlomo Bloy shlit"a, member of the Beis Din Tzedek of the Eida HaChareidis, and the board members of "Keren HaShviis," together with several farmers who observe shemittah. The Rebbe received them with due honor. A lengthy conversation took place on the halachos of shemittah, with sharp Torah give-and-take, and the Rebbe explained all the opinions of the poskim.

Afterwards the Rebbe purchased a partnership in a field with one of the farmers from Kfar Shmai, and signed the partnership in advance of the coming shemittah year, IY"H, in order to have a share in the mitzvah of shemittah that is practiced in the Land. Then the Rebbe gave warm, holy blessings, accompanied them out to the street, and sent his son, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Chaim Hersh, Av Beis Din of Sighet, to travel down to the field as his emissary.

In the afternoon, the schedule of times for entering the holy inner sanctum in private began, which continues for the entire afternoon for our chassidim who live in Eretz Yisroel, and is being run in a wondrous order by askanim of our holy kehilla.

In the evening, at around 9:00 after Mincha, the great "Rosh Chodesh Seudah and Chinuch Assemblies" will take place, headed by the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, for all the melamdim, principals and teachers of Torah in our holy mosdos in Eretz Yisroel, where the Rebbe shlit"a will deliver a holy address, a "chinuch discourse," "to know the deed that they shall do."
