🌴 Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Behaaloscha — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a 🌴

Friday afternoon at 8:50 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav R' Dovid Eckstein. After davening, everyone went over to wish a gut Shabbos. A short while after davening, the Rebbe entered for the Friday night seudah together with the talmidei hamesivta. Eishes Chayil: the grandson, the bochur Yisroel Dushinsky, son of HaGaon Rabbi Dovid Dov. Raising the cup for Kiddush: the grandson HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Hersh Ashkenazi. Kol Mekadesh: R' Nachman Kahana of Boro Park. Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Pesach Eckstein of Yerushalayim. The Rebbe said Torah on the midrash "One who wishes to know the resurrection of the dead from the Torah, let him see that Miriam became a metzora'as, white as snow," and explained, in the manner of a derush, the matter of Moshe Rabbeinu being a Kohen.
In the middle of the Torah, the lights went out, due to an incident that occurred because of the severe weather. The Rebbe continued the Torah, and with fiery enthusiasm the nigunim in honor of Shabbos were sung.

Stories and anecdotes: this week the Rebbe recounted the bitter history of Klal Yisroel from the 20th of Sivan, and in particular of the decrees of Tach V'Tat. Because of the lights going out, the Rebbe had the fruits brought in, and the chassanim did not pass through, and "Ba'yom Hashevi'i" was sung. Before leaving, the Rebbe announced that "everyone should leave carefully, stand and not push." It ended at 1:30.

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered at 9:40. Pesukei D'zimra: R' Kalman Gefen. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Zushe Weiss of Williamsburg. Pesukei Shema Yisroel: HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Chaim Gutman of Monsey. Aliyos — Kohen: the chassan, the bochur Meir Mendel Weiss; Levi: HaGaon Rabbi Nechemia Kraus of Kiryas Joel; Shlishi: the chassan, the bochur Yoel Wieder; Revi'i: the chassan, son of R' Yoel Greenwald; Chamishi: the chassan, son of R' Kalman Gefen; Shishi: the Rebbe shlit"a. After his aliyah, the Rebbe recited the Mi Sheberach and named the newborn daughters of:

Shlishi: R' Kalman Weiss of Montreal. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Yoel Mertz. At Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe honored R' Noach Gefen with Odeh, R' Moshe Goldstein with Shir HaMaalos. During the Torah, the Rebbe stood on the verse "B'haalosecha es haneiros — to tell the praise of Aharon, that he did not change," and explained in the manner of mussar that if a Jew wants his mitzvos to be protected, he should engage in Torah. Yedid Nefesh: R' Yitzchak Markowitz. Kel Mistater: HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Chaim Gutman. The Rebbe blessed the cup and recited Sheva Berachos. Maariv Motzei Shabbos: R' Avrohom Shalom Landau. After Havdalah, everyone went over to wish a gutte voch. It ended at 11:05.
