🌴 Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Behar-Bechukosai — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a 🌴

On Friday afternoon at 8:35 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash and went up to daven Mincha. Kabbolas Shabbos: R' Yaakov Moshe Mittelman. After davening, people went over to wish a gut Shabbos. A short time after davening the Rebbe came in to the seudah together with the talmidei hamesivta. Eishes Chayil: the grandson, the bochur Meir Eliezer son of HaGaon Rabbi Baruch.

In the middle of the tish, talmidim of Yeshivas Ohr Torah of Lakewood arrived together with the roshei hayeshiva, who had chosen to spend Shabbos in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe greeted the roshei hayeshiva and gave them shirayim from the kugel.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "And Hashem spoke to Moshe on Har Sinai, saying" — what is the connection between shemittah and Har Sinai? He explained that the fact that they waited another day before giving the Torah at Har Sinai is a sign that Hakadosh Baruch Hu is concerned even about a rabbinic law. Therefore, when the Jews went into the golus that came because of the sin of shemittah, the Jews will nevertheless be redeemed, because by rabbinic law one cannot take a second wife or give a get against her will. Stories and episodes: this week the Rebbe related, in connection with the day of rescue and liberation of the 25th of Iyar of his father, the Rebbe zy"a, what the Rebbe himself experienced during the war years and the miracle of the rescue.

After his aliyah the Rebbe made a Mi Sheberach and naming for the birth of a daughter for R' Yoel son of R' Yisroel Perl, R' Simcha Bunim Forgacs, R' Yechezkel Shraga Goldberger and R' Moshe Leib Freund. The Rebbe davened Musaf at the amud in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandfather, the Walova Rav zy"a, which falls on Friday, 3 Sivan. Pesichah for Ano'im Zemiros: R' Mendel Eckstein. They finished at 12:40.

In the afternoon at 7:10 the Rebbe entered for the Perek lesson. He stood at the Mishnah in Perek 5, Mishnah 4, "Ten miracles were performed for our forefathers," and explained it in 12 ways in the manner of aggadic and mussar discourse, that from the ten plagues of the Exodus from Egypt we must derive paths in avodas Hashem: emunah, simchas hamitzvah, good middos, and especially on the matter of doing the mitzvos of Hashem even when it becomes difficult, not in a manner of "comfortable Yiddishkeit." At the end he gave words of preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos. They finished at 8:15.

At the Torah the Rebbe stood on the verse "If you walk in My statutes" and explained in the way of mussar that a person must be in the state of a "walker," meaning he must progress every day, but "whoever is greater than his fellow, his yetzer hara is greater than him," therefore one must go to the mikvah every day and come to the beis medrash to learn Torah, to nullify the forces of the kelipos.
