🌴 Friday, Lag B'Omer — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a 🌴

Before davening, the bris of the newborn son of R' Yechezkel Shraga Stein took place, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in our yeshiva "Mesivta HaKedosha," Beirach Moshe branch.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in honor of the Tanna Elokei, together with the talmidim of the Mesivta. HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of our kehilla in Yerushalayim shlit"a, also participated. They sang songs of inspiration and songs of joy. The Rebbe honored HaGaon Rabbi Meir Eliezer Friedman shlit"a, a rebbi in our holy yeshiva, to sing Bar Yochai, after which the Rebbe rose and danced in honor of the day.

At around 12:55 the Rebbe arrived at Beis Rachel Paradise for the seudah in honor of the day, together with hundreds of students of the third grade from the 8 branches of the yeshiva ketana in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe danced in honor of the day for a few minutes. At the washing, the Rebbe broke the challah, as is the custom of our holy Rebbes at an Erev Shabbos tish. After the fish, the Rebbe delivered a few minutes of divrei Torah about the source of the custom not to cut the challah on Erev Shabbos, and related a story about the holy Divrei Chaim zy"a. After the meat course, the Rebbe honored HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of our kehilla in Yerushalayim shlit"a, to sing Bar Yochai. Afterwards the Rebbe delivered holy words, took as his starting point the verse "Bereishis bara Elokim," and said Torah in honor of the day. After the divrei Torah, the Rebbe gave words of guidance especially to the bochurim, about how a Jew should eat: to bentch from the heart, to eat with moderation, and not to indulge all one's desires. The Rebbe honored HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of our kehilla in Yerushalayim shlit"a, with leading the bentching.
