Report of an elevated Shabbos in our holy kehilla in Boro Park #4

At 6:30 in the afternoon the Rebbe entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for Pirkei Avos. The Rebbe explained the mishnah "From where did you come" and "to where are you going" in 10 different ways, in the manner of drush, aggada and mussar, and at the end he spoke words of chizuk about sending children to outside yeshivas. At the end, regarding going up to Eretz Yisroel and traveling away abroad for Yom Tov, they concluded at 8:00.
At 8:20 the Rebbe entered for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos. Mincha: R' Dovid Yosha Hirsh. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: HaRav R' Hirtzka Klein. Baal Koreh: HaRav R' Yosha Mendlowitz, who was the Motzei Shabbos one. Kohen: HaGaon R' Akiva Yosef Kahana. Levi: R' Aharon Wolf Getter. Shlishi: R' Yitzchak Shraga Gross. The Rebbe went to hagbah, and gelilah was done by R' Shlomo Fromm. When the cup was being poured, the Rebbe asked that a cup be brought and poured for his brother-in-law, the Satmar Rebbe's brother-in-law, the Gaavad of our kehilla in Boro Park shlit"a. Odeh: R' Mordechai Shabsai Markowitz. Shir HaMaalos: R' Yitzchak Zev Weinstock. At the Torah reading the Rebbe discussed the verse "You shall be holy" — sanctify yourself in what is permitted to you, and he continued with lengthier words of mussar on matters of kedusha. Yedid Nefesh: R' Chaim Spitzer. Kel Mistateir: R' Wolf Nitzenzweig. The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup. Maariv: R' Yitzchak Mordechai Markowitz. After Havdalah, everyone came over to wish a good week, and then they accompanied the Rebbe out with song and music. They concluded at 10:45.

On Motzei Shabbos the Rebbe arrived, as announced, at the Sarvash beis medrash in Boro Park, where the Rebbe wrote a letter in a Sefer Torah being written by the Sarvash Rebbe shlit"a, and then led a lechayim gathering that extended into a pleasant conversation. He then comforted the mourner R' Shlomo Yaakov Spitzer of Montreal, and returned to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

Shabbos Kodesh, "In the shelter of Your wings they take refuge"
