Sunday, Parshas Chayei Sarah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

A bris was held for the newborn son of R' Menachem Moshe Bar R' Gold (Monsey), where the Rebbe was the sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the large beis medrash. Before davening, the Rebbe laid tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- Twins, sons of R' Ezriel Shear.
- Bochur Yaakov Yoel Kwan.
- Bochur Yoel, son of R' Shmuel Friedmann.
- Bochur Yuda Vertzberger.
- Bochur Moshe Avrohom Yaakov Roth.

After davening, a l'chayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.
Also, a writing of the Torah letters was held for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Shlomo Yitzchok Shear (London). The Rebbe wrote several letters, drank l'chayim, and bestowed his holy blessing.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went to the home of the Gaon, the Rosh Yeshiva shlit"a, where they discussed various matters for several hours.

Later, the Rebbe telephonically comforted the family of the late R' Chaim Shlomo Klein z"l, one of the rabbis of our community in Bnei Brak.

Around 5:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Tzanzer Street.

In the evening, the Rebbe attended the chuppah of the following couples.
- R' Shlomo Hersh Bar R' Eisenstein and R' Shimon Yitzchok Pilap in the Kinor David hall.
- R' Yosse Ber Schwartz and R' Avrohom Shmuel Friedlander in the Beis Rachel Paradise hall.
- R' Kalman Eliezer G'bra and R' Yosef Malach in the Ginat Klein hall.

The hours of receiving the public were from 8:15 to 12:45 at night in the Rebbe's holy home on Ihel Street.

During the hours of receiving the public, the Rosh Yeshiva, R' Yitzchok Rosenblatt shlit"a, arrived, and a lengthy conversation was held regarding shechita. He presented the Rebbe with his book, "Harei HaMishpat," and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

Around 9:55, the Rebbe entered the hall in his holy home, where he read the tenaim of the following couples.
- R' Simcha Nefthali Klugsbroun and R' Yisroel Avrohom Hershkowitz shlit"a.
- R' Moshe Levi Landa and R' Shlomo Nach Heilbrun shlit"a.

Later, the administration and members of the Beis Medrash Yisroel Shalom in the Williamsburg neighborhood arrived, along with the Rosh Yeshiva shlit"a, to receive the Rebbe's blessing before their trip to the holy sites in Europe for the wedding of the Rosh Yeshiva's son, the chosson FR"CH shlit"a. The Rebbe reviewed the itinerary for the trip, which will take place on Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah in the city of Sighet, and bestowed his holy blessing upon the Rosh Yeshiva shlit"a. The participants in the trip then departed, and the Rebbe distributed shaliach mitzvah money.

Around 11:30, the Rebbe davened Maariv, and afterward continued to receive the public.

After Maariv, R' Aharon Mordechai Brisk shlit"a, the Rosh Yeshiva of Tashnad in Monsey, arrived with his son, the chosson, to receive the Rebbe's blessing for his son's wedding, which took place last week. A beautiful conversation was held regarding marriage, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him and his son.
