Thursday, Parshas Noach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Mendel Goldberger, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yitzchak Shaul Kwan.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as the third aliyah. After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

At around 12:55, the Rebbe arrived at the Yismach Moshe beis medrash, where the Rebbe delivered the opening-of-the-zman address to the approximately 1,700 choice bochurim, may they live and be well, of the 7 branches of the Mesivta.
The Rebbe began with words of Torah and aggadah on the weekly parsha and the yeshiva's shiurim in Maseches Kesubos, and awakened the bochurim to conduct themselves as befits a Chassidic bochur in all matters. He brought out the obligation of every bochur to keep all the yeshiva's regulations, both the learning curriculum and the yeshiva's schedules, and especially the regulations of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zt"l, founder of the yeshiva, not to drive a car, not to attend weddings and tenaim, to refrain from all technological devices, and all the other yeshiva regulations. The Rebbe continued about today's melodies and dances at weddings, and urged to maintain weddings and simchas in the earlier manner, with proper melodies and refined dances. He likewise spoke about the obligation to stand apart from the impurity of Zionism with all its matters, not to be dragged along after their propaganda and their news, in accordance with the tradition handed down to us from the holy Rebbe zt"l. The Rebbe concluded with abundant blessings. It ended at around 1:50.

In the afternoon hours, at around 3:45, Congressman Pat Ryan, who represents Kiryas Joel and is running for re-election, entered the Rebbe's holy home for a private audience together with the Kiryas Joel administration. The Rebbe first thanked him for his critical help in advancing the new law for the benefit of the home-style chinuch in New York and for his constant help with many other matters. They spoke at length about many matters for the benefit of the thousands of residents of Kiryas Joel, and he also promised to help with Kiryas Joel's ongoing expansion of the boundaries of holiness in order to keep apartment prices affordable.

At around 6:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the Rebbe's holy home on the Zanz floor.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- R' Yaakov Yosha Kahana and R' Mushulam Shmiya Friedman in the Kinor David halls.
- R' Dovid Daniel Kibudi and R' Ezra Ariel Mizrachi in the Beis Rochel Paradise halls.
- R' Yoel Gross and R' Shlomo Zalman Gelb in the Ginas Klein halls.

The time for private audiences was from 8:00 until 11:40 at night in the Rebbe's holy home, on the Ohel floor.

At around 9:00, the Rebbe went down to the halls in the Rebbe's holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- HaRav R' Meir Yisroel Spitzer shlit"a and HaRav R' Elimelech Eckstein shlit"a.
- R' Mordechai Leib Zwibel and R' Yaakov Kessler.
- HaRav R' Yisroel Meir Friedman shlit"a and R' Chaim Yechezkel Rosenberg.
- HaRav R' Mordechai Weberman shlit"a and R' Shlomo Klein.

During the audiences, HaGaon Rabbi Mordechai Friedman shlit"a, rav of the Yirei Hashem beis medrash in the Boruch Taam neighborhood of Kiryas Joel HaMeurachas, entered for a private audience to receive a blessing in honor of his son's wedding next week. A warm conversation developed with the beis medrash administration and neighborhood residents about the many Torah shiurim held in the beis medrash during the past month of Tishrei, and the Rebbe extended his holy blessing to him and to his son, the chosson.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:40.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went to the kever of our holy Rebbes in honor of the simcha of the wedding of his grandson, the chosson Rabbi Yoel Dushinsky shlit"a, son of his brother-in-law, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Ohel Feiga beis medrash shlit"a, which is taking place this coming Monday, IY"H, in our great beis medrash in Williamsburg.
The Rebbe made the bracha, entered the ohel, and lit candles at the kevarim of the holy Rebbes, the Divrei Yoel and the Beirach Moshe zy"a, and at the kever of his mother, the Rebbetzin a"h. Afterwards the Rebbe recited the tefilla of the holy Yismach Moshe zy"a, recited the chapters of Sefer Revi'i as customary, and said Kaddish. He then read kvitlach for an extended time, during which songs of inspiration were sung. Afterwards the Rebbe prostrated himself at the kevarim of our holy Rebbes and of his mother, the Rebbetzin a"h.
