Hoshana Rabbah – Shemini Atzeres – Simchas Torah – "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a – in our stronghold, the holy community of Kiryas Joel

Beginning with "Ratzah Elokim," they danced on Simchas Torah, after the holy, sacred dancing of the other days of Yom Tov, in immense joy in the shadow of the holiness of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, with even greater strength, together with the holy congregation, the congregation of "Mi Manah" — tefillos, thoughts of teshuvah and acceptance of good resolutions for the future. Who is like us, and who is equal to us!

And amid praise and thanksgiving to the Creator for granting the merit to celebrate the holy, radiant festivals together, with a historic, enormous number of over ten thousand talmidim and chassidim, may they be spared for long life, from all corners of the world under one roof, the radiant Hakafos and true joy, all of it declaring honor — the honor of the Torah and the honor of the Giver of the Torah — in the shadow of the holiness of the tzaddik who is like a date palm, continuing the holy path of our holy Rebbes zy"a, the light of our lives, the splendor of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, who elevates us in a life of Torah the whole year; and when Yom Tov of Simchas Torah arrives, it surpasses all bounds. For hours upon hours they dance with genuine love of the Torah, and the chassidim danced with arousal and yearnings for holiness, in divesting from the physical, as the holy Rebbe of Sanz zy"a said, "three days not eating and three nights not sleeping." And it brings good influences, physical and spiritual — influences of joy and holiness, uplifting of the soul and closeness to Hashem. Fortunate is the eye that saw this; fortunate are we, how good is our portion, how pleasant our lot and how beautiful our inheritance!

In thanks for the past and in prayer for the future, for many more years to take refuge in the shadow of the Kodesh and be warmed by his bright light, may we merit to receive the heavenly blessings throughout the entire year, for us and our children forever, to receive the holy guidance of the Rebbe shlit"a, and "add days upon the days of the king," with health of body and a fine radiance, "may he still bear fruit in old age," and by the light of his holiness we will travel and go toward our righteous Moshiach, speedily and in the near future.

As is understandable, it is not possible to convey the feelings and the elevated spirit of the Yom Tov. Here we will only relate the events as they were, the order of the days and the content of the Rebbe's words from these exalted times, and what is written here is more than what we have read to you.
