Friday, Blessing — Erev Sukkos, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim: - The bochur Elazar Rubinfeld. - The bochur Dovid Spielman. Afterward, the Rebbe lit candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Kozhnitzer Maggid zy"a.
After davening, the aravos for the Four Species were brought to the Rebbe's private room, where the Rebbe examined them for an extended time and selected the aravos for Yom Tov. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.
After Shacharis, R' Baruch Leipa Lowy, one of the leading askanim of our holy kehilla, brought the Rebbe shlit"a in his holy home a magnificent braided holder for the lulav. The Rebbe thanked him and bestowed his holy blessing.
