Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Shoftim, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the grooms.
- The chassan Avrohom Yehuda Aryeh, the bochur, son of Shimon Moshe Neustein.
- The chassan Moshe Avrohom, the bochur, son of Yaakov Berish Klein.
- The chassan Yechezkel Shraga, son of Rabbi Naftali Stern shlit"a.
- The chassan Mordechai, the bochur, son of Aharon Dovid Yitzchak Rubinstein a"h.

At around 8:30 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Bentzion Mandelbaum (Boro Park).
The davening concluded at around 10:05. After davening, an appeal was held for a mosad doing great good, for the rescue of refugees from Iran and Ukraine. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 11:05 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidei hayeshiva, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with emotion and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the bochur Yissachar Ber Tov, son of the chassan, the Gaon Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a.
- Lifting of the cup: the Leipnik Rebbe shlit"a of Bnei Brak.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "Is anything too wondrous for Hashem?" and explained, in the manner of derush, the sugya of "shelo k'derech achilaso".

Bundles and beer were distributed, joyous melodies were sung, and the Rebbe wished the baal simcha and the entire gathering well.

On Shabbos day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered at around 9:45.

The Rebbe said Vechoros pasuk by pasuk, and approached the amud for Shacharis.

After davening a bris was held for the newborn son of R' Yaakov Ber Friedrich (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

At the Kiddush Rabbah in his holy residence, joyous melodies were sung in honor of the simcha of the Kiddush Rabbah for the Rebbe's granddaughter, the daughter born to Rabbi Yoel Meisels shlit"a, son of the Gaon Rav of the beis medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, which took place in Monsey.

Seudah Shlishis, Parshas Re'eh

The Rebbe entered for Mincha at around 8:30.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "Hashem has said to you, you shall not return on this path again", which the darshanim of remazim say has the initials of Elul. He repeated the reason why Moshiach does not come after the month of Elul and Tishrei, when Klal Yisroel is engaged in teshuva and rectifying their deeds: after the holy days, "the children return to their borders" and everyone goes back to his old ways and does not maintain the good resolutions. However, the Yetev Lev says that the way to remain with the good resolutions is to be engaged in Torah, and that enables one to stand firm on the resolutions for an entire year.

The Rebbe approached the amud for Maariv in honor of the holy hilula of 6 Elul this week.
After Havdalah, the congregation went over to wish a good week.
The davening concluded at around 10:50.

At around 12:30, a hachnasas sefer Torah beginning of writing took place in his holy residence, for a Sefer Torah being written by R' Shmuel Eckstein. The Rebbe wrote the first letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessing.

Afterwards, another beginning of writing of a Sefer Torah took place, being written by the family of Rabbi Avrohom Dovid Wagschal z"l. The Rebbe wrote the first letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessing.
