Thursday, Mattos-Masei 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe entered for Shacharis at around 8:45. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Zalman Leib Perl (Williamsburg).

- Baal tefillah: HaRav R' Nachman Dov Heller.
- Pesicha: HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Rosh Chochma shlit"a.
- Baal korei: HaRav R' Shlomo Rubinstein (Kiryas Joel).
- Kohen: HaRav R' Yisroel Landau (Williamsburg).
- Levi: HaRav R' Simcha Yisroel Appel (Kiryas Joel).
- Shlishi: the bar mitzvah bochur Zalman Leib Perl.
- Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a.
- Gelilah: HaRav R' Zalman Leib Perl.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the heichal of the beis medrash. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and blessed the bar mitzvah bochur and the entire assembly.

Afterwards, the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence. On the way, a conversation developed about the many beneficial activities in New York by the Rav HaKollel, the righteous Rabbi Yaakov Yosef zt"l, whose yahrzeit it was.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha at around 9:10. Baal tefillah: HaRav R' Simcha Yisroel Appel. Between Mincha and Maariv the Rebbe was engaged in his learning. At the time of Rabbeinu Tam, Maariv was davened. Baal tefillah: HaRav R' Yaakov Yitzchak Steinmetz (Kiryas Joel).
After Maariv, many guests went over to greet the Rebbe shlit"a.
