Report
Tuesday, Parshas Pinchas — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yosef Yozefa Weissman, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah Branch Divrei Yoel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Mordechai Yosef, son of HaRav HaGaon R' Dovid Shlomo Eckstein shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Shmuel Binyomin Kraus shlit"a, Nasi of Yeshivas Toras Chesed London.
- The bochur Dovid Meir Adler.
- The bochur Aharon Boruch Alexander Kohn.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur, in which the Rebbe spoke about the decree of drafting yeshiva students in Eretz Yisroel. He strongly encouraged those who come out to protest the decree, to stand up for the honor of the Torah and of those who learn Torah and the yeshiva students who are sitting in jail only because of their Torah learning. It is incomprehensible how there are those who say that the protests are a chillul Hashem. On the contrary, it is a kiddush Hashem! A chillul Hashem is when people are silent about bnei Torah sitting in jail. He concluded with chizuk for our brethren in Eretz Yisroel.

Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the hall of the beis medrash. The Rebbe drank lechayim and extended good wishes to HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Binyomin Kraus shlit"a, to the menahel shlit"a, and to the bar mitzvah bochurim and their families.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the Glanzer family, who are sitting shiva for their mother, the widow of R' Avrohom Yaakov Glanzer a"h.

Afterwards the Rebbe paid a shiva call to R' Chaim Soifer and his sons, and to the Strulowitz family, who are sitting shiva for his wife / their mother / their sister a"h.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva Branch Birech Moshe, where he learned with a chavrusa from the yeshiva students in his private room. Around 6:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The Rebbe's reception hours were from 8:50 until 12:45 at night at his holy residence on Hewes St.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 11:30 and then continued receiving the public.
