Wednesday, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yehoshua, son of R' Boruch Eckstein, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Beis Medrash Ohr Yisroel on the occasion of the simcha of the bris milah of his grandson, born to HaRav R' Meir Yehuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, the rav of the beis medrash, son of HaGaon the Av Beis Din of Uhel shlit"a, and son-in-law of his relative by marriage, HaGaon the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.

Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The twins, sons of R' Gedalya Dovid Zaldan.
- The bochur Chaim Shlomo, son of R' Meir Wertheimer.

After davening, the simcha of the bris milah took place in the main hall of the beis medrash.
- Mohel: the father of the baby, HaRav R' Meir Yehuda shlit"a.
- Sandek: the Rebbe shlit"a.
- Standing sandek: HaGaon the Av Beis Din of Uhel shlit"a.
- Blessings and naming: his relative by marriage, HaGaon the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a. The child was named in Israel 'Naftali', after the Baal Zera Kodesh of Ropshitz zy"a.
After the bris, the entire congregation went over to wish the Rebbe shlit"a mazel tov.
Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the main hall of the beis medrash.

A few minutes later the seudas bris took place in the main hall of the beis medrash. Speaking at the seudah were the baal simcha, the father of the baby shlit"a, and the grandfather, his relative by marriage, HaGaon the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
The gabbai, HaRav R' Yoel Kaufman, recited the Mi Sheberach as is customary.
The Rebbe honored HaRav R' Yeshaya Rubin shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon the Av Beis Din of Uhel shlit"a, with Yom Libashah.
The Rebbe delivered words of Torah on the topic of bris milah, and warmly blessed the baal simcha, the grandfathers, and the entire congregation.
For bentching, the Rebbe honored HaGaon the Av Beis Din of Uhel shlit"a, and the family members were honored with the Harachaman prayers. The seudah concluded at around 1:15.

Afterwards the Rebbe went up to the adjacent beis medrash, 'Beis Yisroel Hunyad', where he looked in on the learning of the kollel of the members of Ahavas Kadumim, and extended blessings to HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Yosef Wertzberger shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Hunyad.

Afterwards the Rebbe went over to the home of his relative by marriage, HaGaon the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, where the Rebbe extended blessings to the women who had given birth.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva branch Veyoel Moshe, where he learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's students in his private room. At around 6:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

Reception hours at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court were from 8:30 until 12:30 at night.

At around 10:30 the Rebbe went down to the halls of his holy home, where he read the tenaim of the mechutanim.
- HaRav R' Yosef Dovid Mittelman and HaRav R' Moshe Yosef Rosenfeld.
- HaRav R' Yitzchok Mordechai Katz and HaRav R' Pinchas Mordechai Klein.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:40 and counted Sefiras HaOmer before the amud.
