Report
Tuesday, Shemini Aleph — Erev Pesach, the Day of Bedikas Chametz — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, the following brissim took place:
- The newborn son of R' Moshe Yuda Neiman, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
- The newborn son of R' Eizik Lipa Palatchek, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yuda Teitelbaum.

After davening, the following brissim took place:
- The newborn son of R' Yoshe son of R' Yitzchak Friedman (of Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek.
- The newborn son of R' Lipa Halpert, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur and the baalei brit in the Heichal of the Beis Medrash.

In the afternoon, at around 7:20, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for Mincha. The baal tefillah was HaRav R' Dovid Stohl.

After Mincha, the Rebbe went up to the bima for the uplifting gathering of "ShaiVas Mayim Shelanu" (our water drawing), in the presence of thousands of Anash. Many songs of joy and inspiration were sung.
The Rebbe shlit"a delivered fiery holy words, with lengthy words of guidance and preparation for Yom Tov Pesach. He explained that with water, we see that by nature it rises back up to the same height from which it came, and from this we learn that if we follow the ways of our forefathers and remain connected to earlier generations, we too can rise higher and higher. This is the joy of "our water." He continued with emotion and weeping about the tremendous feelings and the merit we have to be able to fulfill all the mitzvos of the Yom Tov, especially the mitzvah of eating matzah, which brings down so many blessings, spiritual and material, and concluded with powerful words of blessing.

The singing of inspiration and preparation continued. The Rebbe stood up with holy emotion and recited the Leshem Yichud for the mitzvah, drew "our water" from the spigot flowing from the spring on the bima, and poured it in, along with several pitchers, counting the pitchers by the letters Aleph, Beis, Gimmel, etc. He then honored the Rabbanim HaGaonim, the sons and sons-in-law of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, and the rabbanim and dayanim of the kehilla, to draw water. With the joy of a mitzvah and holiness, he then broke into fiery dancing with a flame of holiness for an extended time. It concluded at around 8:30.

Immediately after the gathering, Maariv was davened. The baal tefillah was HaRav R' Baruch Mordechai Markowitz.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went home to his holy residence. The Rebbe set out the 10 pieces around the table as is customary, recited the blessing on the removal of chametz with enthusiasm, gathered the pieces, and then continued, with physical exertion, to conduct bedikas chametz throughout the entire house. At the end, the Rebbe recited Kol Chamira with outpouring of the soul.

Afterward, the Rebbe distributed the sefer Yetev Lev to the bochurim who helped over the last weeks to prepare the Seder night in the Rebbe's home for the hundreds of chasanim, talmidei hamesivta, who are preparing to take part in the elevated Seder tish b'tzeil hakodesh. The Rebbe thanked them and wished them his holy blessing.
