At 6:50 they stood to daven Maariv, baal tefillah: R' Akiva Weinstock.

After Maariv the Rebbe put on a borrowed tallis and went up to the bimah, where the Megillah had been spread out like a letter.
The Rebbe recited the Leshem Yichud, made the brachos with holy fire, and read the Megillah with great arousal and outpouring of the soul. The reading of the Megillah began at 7:15 and concluded at 8:12.

At the break-fast in his holy home, the Rebbe tasted kindel, nahrt and Haman-tashen, as is customary on Purim.

At around 10:20 the Rebbe entered for the pure tish in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The Rebbe danced in his place for a few minutes and washed for the seudah in honor of the day, and the foods were served as on Yom Tov.
During the seudah, several lively niggunim were sung, and they danced with joy and gladness in honor of Purim, and the Rebbe delivered words of Torah three times.
The Rebbe honored the following with the zemiros.
- Asher Heni: HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Wolf Friedman shlit"a.

First dvar Torah on the Midrash "Since Moshe died in the wilderness, therefore Haman is hanged," explained in the manner of a derush within the topic of "Eretz Yisroel is ours, held from our forefathers." They continued with lively niggunim, and the Rebbe stood up and danced for a longer time with great fervor.

Second dvar Torah on the verse "And when she came before the king," explaining that Klal Yisroel, in all situations throughout the long, bitter galus, always thanked Hashem for having chosen us from among all the nations, despite the difficult troubles that were endured in every generation.

Afterwards the Purim Rav, HaRav Rabbi Naftali Moshe Weiss shlit"a, took the stage with humorous words and rhymes in honor of Purim. They continued singing "Im Al HaMelech Tov," and the Rebbe stood up and danced.

Afterwards the gabbaim of the "Legion of the King" group presented to the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a the book with the names of the bochurim of all Satmar yeshivos around the world who accepted upon themselves good resolutions regarding technology. After the Torah reading the Rebbe went into his private room, where the Rebbe put on Rabbeinu Tam tefillin.

After a few minutes the Rebbe came back in and went up to the bimah, where the Megillah had been spread out like a letter.
The Rebbe recited the Leshem Yichud and fulfilled the custom of machatzis hashekel, and then recited the Leshem Yichud, made the brachos with holy fire and began reading the Megillah. The davening concluded at around 12:20.

On the way out of the beis medrash the Rebbe shlit"a gave matanos l'evyonim to R' Berel Falkowitz, director of Tomchei Shabbos.

In his holy home the Rebbe shlit"a fulfilled the mitzvos of the day, mishloach manos and matanos l'evyonim, and washed for the first seudah in honor of the day.

From 3:15 until 5:30 the Rebbe shlit"a received the public to bless and be blessed on Purim, as long lines of hundreds of members of the kehilla, elders along with youths, filed through, and the Rebbe shlit"a wished each one well and blessed them with a holy blessing.
At around 5:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home. Baal tefillah: HaRav Rabbi Yoel Weinberger shlit"a.

At around 6:00 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the Purim wine seudah in the Beis Medrash HaGadol and washed for the seudah in honor of the day.
After the kezayis of challah the Rebbe recited a Leshem Yichud to fulfill the mitzvah of drinking on Purim, made Borei Pri HaGafen, drank the first cup of wine in honor of the day and said lechayim, and after the fish the Rebbe drank the second cup of wine.
The soup was served with kreplach as is customary, and after the soup the Rebbe drank the third cup of wine and said lechayim. With the meat, a helzel was served as is customary, and after the meat and kugel the Rebbe drank the fourth cup of wine and said lechayim.

During the seudah the singers sang several niggunim of devekus and arousal, as well as niggunim of joy and gladness while the Rebbe lifted up the assembled, and he stood up several times to dance in fiery dances, encouraging the entire gathering.

During the tish the Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of Torah 8 times.
First Torah thought on the verse "Let my soul be given to me at my request," explaining that every Jew prays to be saved from the yetzer hara and asks "Let my soul be given to me at my request." The Rebbe wept greatly for a longer time, and continued, saying "It is a time of trouble for Yaakov": a salvation that comes from the side of holiness endures, whereas if it comes from the side of impurity it is only temporary, as one sees clearly now with the war through the impure state, where each time they say that now the enemies have been defeated, yet every few months the danger arises anew. The Rebbe said that the Jews in Eretz Yisroel are in a time of trouble and live in fear both from the pursuers and from the "rescuers," and we pray that they be saved by Hashem alone.
They continued singing "V'Hi She'Amda" and "Hashem Hu Malkeinu," and the Rebbe stood up and danced.

Second Torah thought on the verse "And when she came before the king," explained within the topic of the inheritance of Yaakov and Esav in two worlds, and continued that we see in the Megillah that Queen Esther entered the inner court of the king while Haman entered the outer court. This is the difference between a Jew and a non-Jew: for a Jew the main thing is the inner essence. The clothing reflects the inner essence of a person, and from a person's clothing one sees what the person is, both throughout the year and also in how one dresses up on Purim. He spoke out, denouncing today's bekeshes and garments that are becoming more and more modern.

Third Torah thought on the verse "And when she came before the king," explained in the manner of a derush within the topic of "Eretz Yisroel is ours, held from our forefathers."

The Rebbe sang Adon Olam with outpouring of the soul, and at "Ein Od Milvado" he stood up and danced.

Fourth Torah thought on the verse "Let my soul be given to me at my request," bringing out that with the power of unity one can bring about all salvations, and this was Queen Esther's request, "Go, gather all the Jews," and thus the miracle of Purim was brought about.

The Rebbe sang the well-known niggun "Let us tell of the virtues of Jewish children" twice.

Fifth Torah thought on the verse "If it pleases the king," bringing out that to subdue the power of the kelipos one can do so either with mesirus nefesh or through the mitzvah of bris milah. The Rebbe brought out the praise of Klal Yisroel, that despite the long, bitter galus we endure, we proclaim on Rosh Hashana "HaMelech" and "Asher Bachar Banu Mikol Am," and we crown Hashem as King over us with mesirus nefesh; this is a straightforward advocate for Klal Yisroel on the Day of Judgment.

The Rebbe sang "HaAderes VeHaEmunah" and asked the elders of our community who remembers when it was sung by the holy Divrei Yoel zt"l.
Then the Rebbe fulfilled the custom of his grandfather, the Atzei Chaim zy"a, to smoke on Purim and thereby burn the kelipos in the smoke. The Rebbe gave a reason for it: since the burning of the kelipos, which concludes on Erev Pesach, begins on Purim.

The Rebbe smoked a cigar, and then gave it to R' Yedidya Klagsbrun to pass on to his father, R' Shlomo Moshe.

Then the Rebbe continued with the sixth Torah thought, that Klal Yisroel has both a different soul than a non-Jew and a different body than a non-Jew, since it is connected with the parchment of a Sefer Torah. Therefore, even if the doctors say about an illness that there is no cure for it, that is only for the gentiles, but for Jews there is a cure for all illnesses. The Rebbe wished a complete recovery for all the sick of Israel.

Seventh Torah thought on the statement of Chazal "The eyes of the poor are lifted to the reading of the Megillah," saying that this corresponds to the tenth of "nor anything that is your neighbor's" from the Ten Commandments, and he spoke at length in praise of the Even Chesed fund, which distributes shtreimels to Jews. He also honored all those named "Yaakov" to go up onto the tish to collect money from the assembled for the benefit of the Rebbe's fund, the "Even Chesed Fund."

Then the Rebbe delivered the eighth dvar Torah and brought out that tzedakah purifies the air, and thus prayers are accepted. The Rebbe concluded with abundant blessings for the entire assembled.

The Rebbe stood up and danced with holy fire to "Achakeh Lo" for a longer time.
Then cabbage was brought in as is customary, and the Purim Rav, HaRav Rabbi Naftali Moshe Weiss shlit"a, went up on the table and sang the well-known niggun of the holy Kedushas Levi zy"a, "Ribono Shel Olam, let us make a trade."

The Rebbe honored the following with the zemiros.
- Asher Heni: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Chaim Yosef Wertzberger shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Hunyad.
- Shoshanas Yaakov: HaGaon R' Meir Eliezer Friedman shlit"a.
Then HaGaon R' Meir Eliezer shlit"a continued with words of arousal regarding reciting Krias Shema at its proper time and in its proper manner.

For Bentching the Rebbe honored the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a.

After a few minutes the Rebbe returned to the sanctuary of the beis medrash for Maariv davening, baal tefillah: HaRav Rabbi Hershel Kahn shlit"a. "Baruch Hashem L'Olam" was not said, as is customary. They concluded at around 12:00.
