Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Terumah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim:
- The chassan Yechiel Michel, son of Avrohom Yuda Lebovits.
- The chassan Moshe, son of Yoel Schreiber.
- The chassan Moshe Avigdor, son of Yosef Dov Rosenfeld.

On Friday night at around 6:15, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Moshe Goldstein. They finished at around 7:45. An appeal was held for Kollel Ahavas Tzion Siebenbürgen in Eretz Yisroel. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:45, the Rebbe entered the tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the yeshiva students, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with emotion and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson the bochur Yissachar Ber T"B, son of the chaver of the Beis Din, HaGaon Rabbi, Rav of the beis medrash Birkas Moshe shlit"a.
- Hagbahas HaKos: the Rebbe's grandson HaGaon R' Chaim Hersh Ashkenazi shlit"a, Rav of the beis medrash Rav Tuv.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros.
- Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Yosef Shlomo Friedman shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of Kehal Machzikei HaDas Beit Shemesh.
- Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon R' Mendel Hersh Kahana shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of Karlsburg, Williamsburg.

The Rebbe said Torah on the Midrash "At the moment that Israel said 'Naaseh v'nishma,' Hashem immediately said, 'Let them take Me a terumah,'" and explained, by way of derush, the sugya of a thing that has no limit.

The Rebbe said Torah on the Midrash "At the moment that Israel said 'Naaseh v'nishma,' Hashem immediately said, 'Let them take Me a terumah,'" and explained that the power of learning Torah gives every Jew a means of recovery, that no matter how low a state one finds oneself in, one can always return, and one must never despair, since with the power of Torah one can emerge even from the 50 gates of impurity.

After Havdalah, the congregation went over to wish a good week. They finished at around 8:30.

On Motzei Shabbos at around 10:30, the Paltisan Rebbe shlit"a, who had spent Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh, paid a visit. A pleasant conversation ensued about stories of tzaddikim of the house of Belz. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

Afterward, the Rebbe went to Beis Medrash Or HaChaim for the Sheva Brachos simcha, hosted by the beis medrash in honor of HaGaon R' Yuda Elisha Horowitz shlit"a, Rav of the beis medrash, on the occasion of the wedding of his daughter, mazel tov. A pleasant conversation took place with the grandfather, the HaGaon Rav of our kehilla in Manchester shlit"a, and the distinguished mechutanim. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

Then, at around 11:15, the Rebbe arrived at our beis medrash 'Beis Shmuel' in the Divrei Chaim neighborhood in the expanded Kiryas Joel, for the mezuzah-affixing ceremony and lechayim gathering marking the completion of the beis medrash in its splendor, the donation of the Rabbinic philanthropist R' Moshe Goldstein, patron of the beis medrash.
Upon arrival, the Rebbe affixed a mezuzah on the main entrance, and then entered the sanctuary of the beis medrash for a lechayim gathering, at which Rabbi Berel Margaliot shlit"a, chairman of the committee for the expansion of the city's borders, spoke.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the HaGaon Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, to the Rabbanim of the neighborhood who were present, and to the entire congregation, and especially to the esteemed philanthropist, the Rabbinic benefactor R' Moshe Goldstein. He then delivered words of the Rebbe's holy mouth on the verse "And they shall make Me a Sanctuary, and I will dwell among them," on which Rashi says "and so shall you do" for all generations, and drew out that when building a beis medrash, one must see that it endures for generations, that it be a place for the children so that they can remain upright. He continued with guidance for the residents of the neighborhood and the mispallelim of the beis medrash, and urged the gabbaim to ensure that the beis medrash remains a Satmar beis medrash, both during the week and on Shabbos, in all its details, so that it will be a place to raise the coming generations. He urged them to daven only in our batei medrash, with our hashkafa, and to send only to our yeshivos, and concluded with abundant blessings.

They continued with song and music for a while, and on the way out, the Rebbe looked around at the davening rooms and the magnificent mikvah. They finished at around 11:50.

At his holy residence, yeshiva students seeking Hashem from Boro Park, under the direction of Rabbi Moshe Bergman shlit"a, entered after spending Shabbos in the expanded Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe tested the bochurim on their learning, and afterward all the bochurim went over to receive the holy blessing.
