Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeira... correction: Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayikra — "Shabbos HaGadol Mukdam" in the holy shadow of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in our holy kehilla of Williamsburg, on the occasion of the inauguration of our magnificent new beis medrash building, the 'Brach Building' in Bedford Park, the donation of the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom Brach.

On Friday afternoon the Rebbe arrived at the guest residence of R' Mordechai Shlomo Brach, the son of R' Avrohom, near the new beis medrash. At around 8:15 the Rebbe entered for Mincha and went to the amud. After Mincha, before Kabbalas Shabbos, the Rav of the kehilla, our teacher HaGaon, Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta shlit"a, spoke in honor of the opening of the beis medrash, with words of inspiration on the subject of reverence for the Beis HaMikdash. R' Chaim Heller led Kabbalas Shabbos. After Maariv a huge crowd of residents of Williamsburg came to wish the Rebbe a good Shabbos. At around 11:30 the Rebbe entered for the tish in the new beis medrash, where multi-level bleachers had been set up to accommodate the huge crowd. 'Kol Mekadesh': HaGaon R' Shmuel Dovid Sachs shlit"a, Rav of the Cascade neighborhood and dayan of the Beis Medrash Binyan Gelbstein. 'Bentching': our teacher HaGaon, Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta shlit"a. 'Yah Ribon Olam': HaRav R' Yoel Schwartz shlit"a, dayan of the Beis Medrash Binyan Gelbstein. The Shalom Zachor of the bochur Mordechai Shlomo Brach, son of the philanthropist R' Avrohom, the donor of the beis medrash, was held. 'Az B'Yom HaShvii': the Sealish Rebbe. The tish ended at around 1:15.
On Shabbos morning at around 9:30 the Rebbe entered for Shacharis. The Rebbe said Kaddish on the occasion of the yahrzeit of the righteous Rebbetzin, the Rebbetzin of the Kedushas Yom Tov, a"h. 'Pesukei D'Zimra': the Rav of the beis medrash, HaGaon R' Meir Zwiebel shlit"a. The Rebbe went to the amud for Shacharis. After the silent Shemoneh Esrei, before Kaddish Titkabal, the Rebbe recited the Yotzros for Shabbos HaGadol. 'Hotzaah and Hachnasah': HaGaon R' Ephraim Zalman Sternbuch, son of the posek hador Maran Rav, Av Beis Din of Yerushalayim shlit"a. 'Pesukei Shema Yisroel': dayan of the beis medrash HaRav R' Shlomo Shabsai Kestenbaum shlit"a. "The Torah was read in the Rebbe's Torah": Shlishi, the Rav; Chamishi, the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom Brach, the donor of the beis medrash; Shishi, the Rebbe; Maftir, the distinguished philanthropist R' Shmuel Chaim Brach, who donated the enormous sum of $100,000.00 to the beis medrash. Musaf: HaRav R' Meir Halberstam shlit"a.

After davening the great Kiddush took place in honor of the opening of the beis medrash. First to speak was the donor of the beis medrash, the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom Brach. After his address the Rebbe asked him whether he had a new garment and instructed him to recite the "Shehechiyanu blessing with Hashem's Name." Songs were sung in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe delivered divrei Torah, followed by lengthy words of praise for the donor, the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom, who has already donated 5 magnificent buildings to our holy kehilla of Williamsburg. This did not begin with donating batei medrash, but all of it comes in the merit of R' Avrohom having had the privilege of undertaking strong efforts at the historic gathering for the sake of Heaven, the General Assembly, in the presence of tens of thousands of leaders of Israel, to strengthen and reaffirm the holy approach of our Rebbe, the Kedoshei Tzion, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, against the plagues of Zionism. He continued: "From here goes out a proclamation to the chareidi community in Eretz Yisroel: this week the impure elections take place — 'Withdraw your hands from idolatry.' One should not participate and should not transgress the severe prohibition." After Kiddush the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 5:30 the Rebbe entered our great beis medrash for the Shabbos HaGadol derasha, wrapped in a tallis. He first said a short prayer at the Aron Kodesh: "What can I repay Hashem for all His kindnesses to me." At the beginning of the derasha the Rebbe expressed words of praise and gratitude, since last year people could not gather during the days of Pesach, and thank G-d, now we can sit together, prepare the Yom Tov properly and fulfill the mitzvos among a multitude of people. The Rebbe delivered lengthy words of pilpul on the topic of "terumas chametz," and continued with words of mussar and aggadah, including lengthy words of mussar regarding tznius and kedusha, especially concerning technological devices, tznius matters for women, and strong words of preparation for Yom Tov Pesach, especially for parents to learn with their children, particularly during the long Erev Pesach that falls on Shabbos. The Rebbe concluded with words of praise and gratitude, as at the beginning, and bestowed his holy blessings. Afterwards the Rebbe davened Mincha in the great beis medrash and after Maariv recited Kiddush Levana.

"This is the gate of Hashem; the righteous shall enter it" — may the honor of this house be great, to uplift our holy kehilla.
