Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Mishpatim — Shabbos Shekalim — Blessing of the Month of Adar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim.
- The chassan Moshe Nachman, the bochur son of Yisroel Simcha Landau.
- The chassan Moshe Yuda, son of R' Shlomo Elazar Spielman shlit"a.
- The chassan Yitzchak Daniel, the bochur son of Yosef Chaviv Masri.

On Friday night at around 6:10, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Shlomo Elazar Spielman shlit"a. The davening concluded at around 7:40. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:50, the Rebbe entered the shulchan hatahor in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidei hayeshiva, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the grandson of the Rebbe, the second one, Yoel Tov, may he live, son of the son-in-law of the Rebbe, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash, Barech Moshe shlit"a.
- The honor of lifting the cup was given to HaRav HaTzaddik R' Baruch Hager shlit"a, son of the Sert Vizhnitz Rebbe shlit"a and son-in-law of the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros.
- Kol Mekadesh: R' Levi Yitzchak Barzewsky shlit"a.
- Menucha V'Simcha: R' Shimon Shisha shlit"a (Yerushalayim).

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "V'chi yazid ish" and explained, in the manner of derush, the sugya of "vav lehosif or vav lachalok."

For the stories and accounts this week, the Rebbe shlit"a related about the holy Taz (Turei Zahav) zy"a, whose yahrzeit was on Friday, 26 Shevat, and continued with stories of his grandfather, the holy Beis Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a, on the occasion of the holy hilula on Monday, 29 Shevat.

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:25.

After the Torah reading, the Rebbe shlit"a blessed the new month with great arousal, and approached the amud for Musaf for Shabbos Shekalim, and they sang at the piyutim as is customary, with great arousal.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha at around 6:05.

The Rebbe said Torah on the Torah reading of Parshas Shekalim, "Zeh yitnu kol ha'over al hapekudim machatzis hashekel b'shekel hakodesh," and explained that through teshuva and learning Torah one repairs both the sin itself and the mitzvah that could have been fulfilled during that time. He aroused that now, at the end of the days of Shovavim, one must take upon oneself a good resolution for the future to be careful against any sin in speech, action and thought, and to be engaged in learning Torah.

The Rebbe approached the amud for Maariv on the occasion of the holy hilula of his grandfather, the holy Beis Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a, on 29 Shevat.
After Havdalah, the Rebbe wished a good week to the entire congregation together, and wished that we should see one another soon in good health. The Rebbe shlit"a was accompanied with song and music, with Ki Malachav and Kah Zechus Avos, on the occasion of his trip to the city of the forefathers, Sighet, IY"H, and afterwards to Manchester. The davening concluded at around 8:30.

After Havdalah, a group of talmidim of our holy yeshiva, Yeshiva Gedolah Veyoel Moshe of Boro Park, who had spent Shabbos Kodesh "b'tzeil hakodesh," entered the Rebbe's holy residence. The Rebbe inquired about their learning, and the bochurim went over to receive the holy blessing.

Afterwards, a group of bochurim, talmidim of Yeshiva Mekor Chaim of Lakewood, who had spent Shabbos Kodesh "b'tzeil hakodesh," entered. The Rebbe inquired about their learning, and the bochurim went over to receive the holy blessing.

Also entering the inner sanctum was HaRav HaTzaddik R' Baruch Hager shlit"a, son of the Sert Vizhnitz Rebbe shlit"a and son-in-law of the Vizhnitz Rebbe shlit"a, who had spent Shabbos Kodesh "b'tzeil hakodesh." A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.
