Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Shemos — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a in the resort city of Palm Springs

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, before the visible sunset at around 3:50, the Rebbe separated himself from work, as is his custom.

On Friday night at around 5:40, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash, wrapped himself in the tallis, and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Moshe Menachem Daskal (Monsey). They finished at around 7:10, the congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence.

At around 9:30 the door of his holy residence was opened for the zemiros and divrei Torah.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros.
- Kol Mekadesh: R' Tzvi Aryeh Eisenbach (Lakewood).
- Menucha V'simcha: R' Aharon Hersh Mittelman (Boro Park).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And the king of Egypt said to them, 'Why do you, Moshe and Aharon, disturb the people from their work?'" and explained it in the manner of a derush on the sugya of one who sanctifies with a loan.

- Birkas Hamazon: the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Lipa Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Rav of the beis medrash Birkas Moshe, HaGaon Rabbi shlit"a.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "And Elokim saw the Children of Israel, and Elokim knew," and explained that when a Jew finds himself in a lowly state and does not merit to hear the bas kol that emerges daily from Mount Chorev, which brings thoughts of teshuva into every Jew who hears it, there is nevertheless a remedy: to daven to Hashem, to increase supplications, and to ask that we merit to hear the bas kol and be awakened to teshuva. He spoke at length with words of inspiration for the days of Shovavim, and urged increasing in tefilla and supplications and in the recital of Tehillim, and in this way we will merit to hear the bas kol and be awakened to complete teshuva.
