Monday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Divrei Yoel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The son of HaGaon R' Yoel Schwartz shlit"a, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of Beis Medrash Binyan Gelbstein of Williamsburg.
- The bochur Moshe Yuda son of R' Zev Hirsch.
- The bochur Dovid Aryeh Goldberger.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, he delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 28, verse 4.

A few minutes later, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash for a grand lechayim gathering on the occasion of the engagement of the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan HaRav Yoel Dushinsky shlit"a, one of the outstanding talmidim of the yeshiva, son of the Rebbe's mechutan HaGaon Rabbi Dushinsky shlit"a, Rav of Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga and a rebbe in the yeshiva. Joyous melodies were sung, and in honor of the simcha the administrator HaGaon R' Dovid Shlomo Eckstein shlit"a and the mechutanim HaGaon R' Yechezkel Dovid Singer shlit"a and the mechutan HaGaon Rabbi Dushinsky, Rav of Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga shlit"a, spoke.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave brachos to the chassan, the mechutanim, the bar mitzvah bochurim, and the rebbeim and talmidim of the yeshiva. The Rebbe also said a Torah thought that when "one finds a wife, he finds good," and that it should be "good to thank Hashem," and he praised the distinguished shidduch from his family and his father's house, a grandson of the Rebbe's grandfather, the holy Gaon, the Yeitev Lev zy"a, and of the holy Rebbe R' Shalom Eliezer of Ratzfert zy"a, and of relatives on several occasions, and he gave abundant brachos.
Afterward the chassan said the pshetl and it was sung in as is customary, and the Rebbe stood up and danced for an extended time. The gathering ended at around 1:00.

Around 4:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

Reception hours at the Rebbe's home were from 8:30 until 1:00 after midnight at his holy home on Ohel Court.

Around 10:15 the Rebbe went down to the halls in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim.

During reception hours the Rebbe was visited by the mashpia HaGaon R' Asher Zelig Margaliot shlit"a of Eretz Yisroel. A pleasant conversation ensued about his grandfather HaGaon Rabbi Asher Zelig Margaliot zt"l, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:45 and then continued receiving the public.
