Thursday, Parshas Miketz — 4th Day of Chanukah 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
This morning the brissin took place. - For the newborn son of R' Mendel, son of the bochur Yoel Friedman, where the Rebbe served as sandek. - For the newborn son of R' Zusha Goldberger, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur Yoel Shalom Shapper. The Rebbe proceeded to Hallel, and during the Torah reading, Hagbah was given to the Rebbe. After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.
During the morning hours, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to HaRav R' Yisroel Elazar Tabak, who is sitting shiva for his wife a"h.
Around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his home on Zanz Street 109.
The Rebbe davened Maariv around 6:00 in his home. Before Maariv, the bochur Shalom, son of Shimshon Shraga Feigelman, lit the menorah.
Around 8:15, the Rebbe set out on the way to Williamsburg, where the Rebbe will spend Shabbos among our holy kehilla.
Around 9:45, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the lighting of the Chanukah lights, in the presence of a great crowd, in the splendor of a king. The Rebbe poured in the oil and recited the blessings over the lighting. Afterwards, the Rebbe recited the zemiros while the assembly sang stirring melodies, and then the choir sang the piyutim as is customary.
Afterwards, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of Torah, with deep analysis, on the sugya in Maseches Shabbos of "kibsa zakuk lah" (once extinguished, it still requires attention). He then continued in the manner of aggadah, saying that in the merit of the Chashmonaim going out with tzitzis, Aharon HaKohen came down and helped them find the jug of pure oil. He concluded with abundant blessings for the entire assembly.
After the words of Torah, the singing of niggunim continued. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished holy blessings. It concluded around 11:10.

דער רבי האט געדאווענט שחרית אין ישיבה גדולה סניף ברך משה. פארן דאווענען האט דער רבי געלייגט תפילין פארן בר מצוה בחור ב"ר יואל שלום שאפפער הי"ו. דער רבי איז צוגעגאנגען צו הלל, און ביים ליינען געגאנגען הגבה. נאכן דאווענען איז פארגעקומען א לחיים מיטן בר מצוה בחור בחדרו הפרטי.
אין די פארמיטאג שעות האט דער רבי מנחם אבל געווען הרה"ח ר' ישראל אלעזר טאבאק הי"ו היושב ע"פ אשתו ע"ה.
ארום 5:15 האט דער רבי געדאווענט מנחה בביתו נאוה קודש אויף צאנז קט.
דער רבי האט געדאווענט מעריב ארום 6:00 בביתו נאוה קודש, פאר מעריב האט הב' שלום ב"ר שמשון שרגא פויגעל הי"ו אנגעצינדן די מנורה.
ארום 8:15 האט זיך דער רבי ארויסגעלאזט אויפן וועג קיין וומסב''ג ווי דער רבי וועט וויילן אויף שבת בקרב קהלתינו הק'.
ארום 9:45 איז רבינו שליט''א אריינגעקומען אין ביהמ''ד הגדול צו הדלקת נירות חנוכה ברוב עם הדרת מלך, דער רבי האט אריינגעגאסן די אויל און געזאגט די ברכות ההדלקה. דערנאך האט דער רבי געזאגט די זמירות בשעת דער ציבור האט געזונגען נגוני התעוררות, און דערנאך האט די קאפעליע געזונגען די פיוטים כנהוג.
דערנאך האט רבינו שליט''א משמיע געווען דב''ק דברי דרוש ופלפול אין די סוגיא במס' שבת פון כבתה זקוק לה, און דערנאך ממשיך געווען בדרך אגדה אז אין זכות פון דעם אז די חשמונאים זענען געגאנגען מיט די ציצית אינדרויסן איז אהרן הכהן אראפגעקומען און געהאלפן טרעפן די פך שמן טהור, און מסיים געווען מיט ברכות לרוב פארן גאנצן ציבור.
נאך די דב''ק האט מען ממשיך געווען צו זינגען ניגונים, דער רבי האט געטרינקן לחיים און געוואונטשן ברכות קדשו. מען האט געענדיגט ארום 11:10.
