Wednesday, Parshas Vayeishev 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning a bris was held for the newborn son of R' Yehuda Asher, son of the bochur Eliezer Roth, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the main beis medrash.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Moshe Yosef Ehrenfeld.
- The bochur Yoshe Mordechai Danziger.
After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours, HaRav R' Shimon Shisha shlit"a, head of the rescuers at the Markaz Ezra V'Yeitzah of the Eidah HaChareidis for saving Jewish bochurim from the decree of the draft, contacted the Rebbe shlit"a by phone to receive a blessing ahead of the opening of a new, expanded office of the Markaz in Bnei Brak. With Hashem's help, it will open right after Chanukah in a new, large location with an expanded staff of rescuers, in order to be able to handle the increased problems that the impure army is causing for chassidish bochurim. This follows the Rebbe shlit"a's personal request during the holy journey to Eretz Yisroel to expand the activities of the Markaz in the city of Bnei Brak, because of the worsened situation of the decree of the draft and the great demand and need among the thousands of yeshiva students of Bnei Brak.
The Rebbe shlit"a thanked R' Shimon shlit"a for his help to several of our bochurim, who, Baruch Hashem, received an exemption through the Markaz, and discussed the bitter situation of the draft, and in particular the situation of several of our bochurim who unfortunately are still entangled with the impure army. The Rebbe gave his holy blessing to R' Shimon shlit"a and to all the rescuers.

At around 7:15 the Rebbe went over to the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom Yehuda Mandel in Kiryas Joel for a lechayim celebration in honor of his son's wedding, mazel tov. A pleasant conversation ensued, during which R' Avrohom Yehuda showed the Rebbe shlit"a various antique seforim and manuscripts in his collection, among them the 'Ginzei Yehuda' project that he published in honor of the wedding. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave his holy blessing to the chosson, the mechutanim, and the whole family.

"I will thank You in the great congregation, among a mighty people I will praise You" – "Hashem's kindnesses, for we are not consumed, for His mercies have not ended":

As the heads of the people gathered together with the tribes of Yisroel, the 81st Yom HaHatzalah VehaShichrur of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, was celebrated and marked at the central, glorious and exalted gathering, a Seudas Hodaah on the night of thanksgiving, Motzei Shabbos, 21 Kislev, in the presence of tens of thousands of Jews, at the head of dozens of rabbonim and dayanim shlit"a, led by the leader of the kehilla, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the gigantic, enormous building of over 80,000 square feet, the 'Binyan HaHodaah,' which was erected at Waterfront Square in Williamsburg, combined with the 'Gidlu V'Hitzlichu' dinner for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg and their thousands of children, ke"h.

The enormous Binyan HaHodaah was masterfully set up to accommodate the thousands of chassidim from greater New York and beyond.

In honor of the exalted gathering, a very rich collection, 'Ohr Muflah,' was published, beautifully assembled with numerous essays and articles about the entire historic holy journey of the Rebbe shlit"a to Eretz Yisroel and the elevated Shabbos at the holy site of Meron, along with pictures and details of the expansion of holiness within our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.

Throughout the gathering, the wonderful singer Rabbi Yisroel Adler of Eretz Yisroel and R' Menachem Dovid Moskowitz entertained with songs and melodies, accompanied by the renowned Chevra Shira choir and led by the renowned conductor R' Yoel Fischer.

HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Shabsai Kestenbaum shlit"a, one of the rabbonim of our Williamsburg kehilla, served as chairman of the gathering, and led the exalted gathering and presided in honor of the day with good taste and judgment.

At around 9:30, thousands of chassidim merited to greet the holy countenance of the Rebbe shlit"a. When the Rebbe entered, the thousands erupted in fiery dancing to "Chasdei Hashem," "for the miracles that You performed in those days and at this time." The Rebbe greeted the dozens of rabbonim and then danced with fiery holy dancing and great emotion for several minutes in honor of the day, "Hashem's kindnesses, in You they trusted."

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a washed for the holy table in honor of the day, and after the fish he wished lechayim and gave his blessing to the tens of thousands of Jews, and then set out in a joyous dance to melodies of thanksgiving.

HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Mattisyahu Deutsch shlit"a, Av Beis Din of the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in the holy city of Yerushalayim, served as the keynote speaker.

During the gathering, the mosdos administrator HaRav R' Mordechai Elazar Hirsch spoke, highlighting the full efforts of the generous donors and philanthropists of our holy kehilla, through whom alone the mosdos can continue to operate, and spoke about the expansion of holiness in our holy mosdos in Williamsburg. R' Mordechai Elazar also, out of respect for the government, welcomed the political officials who came to show their appreciation for our holy kehilla, among them New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, and also read a letter from the esteemed President Trump, may he live, which was sent in honor of the gathering.

Afterwards a presentation, 'Shalhevet Meron,' was given by HaRav R' Yisroel Adler, in which he sang special verses about the more than 50 hours at the holy site of Meron.

At around 11:00 the Rebbe shlit"a began the Divrei Kodesh and guidance for the year. The Rebbe began with words of aggadah on the topic of thanksgiving, and explained that when one praises Hashem together with a multitude, one can praise Him even if one is not worthy: "I will thank Hashem with all my heart in the council of the upright and the congregation." He spoke about the obligation of thanksgiving that rests on each person to Hashem for the rescue of the holy Rebbe zy"a, when one sees the Torah empire he established across the entire world. At the same time, there is a duty upon us to expand all these activities by establishing more batei medrash and more schools, increasing acts of kindness, walking in his ways in all matters, and supporting the holy institution Keren Hatzalah, which he established with his remaining strength. He praised and warmly thanked the esteemed philanthropists of our community who donated the enormous sum of a million dollars to Keren Hatzalah, which the Rebbe handed over to the members of the Beis Din during the trip to Eretz Yisroel.
Likewise, one must ensure to conduct oneself in matters of tznius in the strongest manner, and the Rebbe praised the new regulation at Beis Rochel in Williamsburg to institute the special tzniusdige clothing for all the students.
The Rebbe continued, speaking about the difficult situation of the expensive apartments in Williamsburg, where people pay enormous sums for a small apartment, and that is aside from the spiritual problems. The time has come to move away to other places! There is a duty upon the parents to encourage their children to move away from Williamsburg. He strongly reinforced the regulation on apartment prices in Kiryas Joel and strongly demanded that no one pay more than three hundred dollars per square foot in Kiryas Joel and two hundred fifty dollars in Kiryas Joel HaMeuchedes [expanded]. He said that when one moves to the expanded Kiryas Joel, one should take into account the expensive school fees along with the other fees that come with it, which the brokers do not tell.
The Rebbe also emphasized that the city of Kiryas Joel and likewise the expanded Kiryas Joel were established by the holy Rebbe, the Baal HaNes zy"a, so that there would be a separate place from other views in matters of hashkafa, and there is a duty upon us to guard this. It is very painful that there are people who take actions to bring in foreign communities that hold a different hashkafa from ours in matters of separation from the impurity of Zionism, and they should know that the holy Rebbe zy"a was very strict about this, "and be careful with their coals."

Afterwards the Rebbe spoke about the elevated holy journey to Eretz Yisroel, praising the travelers who went with elevation and seriousness. A large portion went only to Rebbi Shimon and home, and did not go to any other places. It is evident and recognizable that this is the fruit of the students of the holy Rebbe zy"a who conduct themselves by the holy approach of "Vayoel Moshe," and there was great honor for the holy Rebbe zy"a and for the holy approach. He continued about the importance of our kehilla and holy mosdos in Eretz Yisroel, "all beautiful and all pleasant," and about the decrees of the draft, noting that they personally witnessed the bitter situation. The only address to turn to is the Markaz Ezra V'Yeitzah, and he wished them great success in their beneficial activities. He strongly came out against those who work to make compromises: we are dealing with Jewish lives, "this one lives and this one dies," and there is a duty to cry out a great and bitter outcry. He expressed hope and prayer that they not, chas v'shalom, make any compromises, praying "Avinu Malkeinu, annul the counsel of our enemies."
The Rebbe also shared his personal testimony about the American bochurim studying in Eretz Yisroel, who roam the streets day and night. This is a result of sending bochurim at a young age to other yeshivos, which means that when they grow older they travel to learn in Eretz Yisroel, "and the wise man has his eyes in his head."
Afterwards the Rebbe spoke in praise of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg and of the mosdos administration who stand at the helm and raise the large sums. He mentioned with praise the esteemed Rispler family, who undertook to build the new Beis Rochel building, which is already the third building they have donated, and the Rebbe wished them abundant blessings. The Rebbe concluded with his holy blessing to the entire gathering.

Before bentching, joyous melodies were sung in honor of the Sheva Berachos at the Rebbe's home, the celebration of the wedding of the first grandchild.
Birkas Hamazon was led by HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood shlit"a, and the Sheva Berachos were recited by his brother-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Borough Park shlit"a.

It concluded at around 11:50, and the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
