The Holy Journey of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a to Eretz Yisroel - Shabbos Kodesh at the holy resting place in Meron

Wednesday, Thursday, Parshas Vayeira - Bnei Brak - Emotional Farewell Gathering for the Rebbe shlit"a, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis together with the talmidim of our holy yeshivos, the Yeshiva Ketana and the Yeshiva Gedola Maharit, in our Beis Medrash HaGadol.
Upon arriving in the beis medrash at around 9:30, the Rebbe looked in on the learning and walked among the tables, farhering the bochurim with great nachas for a lengthy time.

Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Yitzchak Yuda Schischa (Beit Shemesh).
- The bochur Moshe Dovid Teller (Bnei Brak)
Baal tefillah: the bochur Lipa son of R' Yosef Heilbrunn.

After davening, a lechayim was held in the hall of the beis medrash. HaGaon HaGadol R' Avrohom Yaakov Itzkowitz shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Shevet HaLevi in Brachfeld, participated in the lechayim.
Several Torah niggunim were sung, and HaRav HaGaon R' Avrohom Shlomo Katz shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Riskeve and one of the rabbonim of our holy kehilla, spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and delivered holy words. First he left the bochurim with a question in Maseches Bava Kamma and asked the bochurim to engage in finding answers. He then continued with words of chizuk in learning Torah, davening, good middos, and the middah of truth, and spoke about the decrees of the draft. The Rebbe said that with this decree, one now understands the double wording that we say on Mondays and Thursdays after the Torah reading, "Our brethren, the entire House of Israel, who are given over to distress and captivity." "Distress" refers to the decrees of the draft, and "captivity" refers to the fact that the state does not allow the bochurim to leave the country; until now one was able to leave, but today they do not allow it. He concluded with abundant blessings.
The Rebbe then distributed coins to the talmidim of the yeshiva. Afterwards the Rebbe drove back by car around the entire shikun, where hundreds of girls from our holy mosdos, Bnos Eretz Yisroel Beis Faiga, had lined up to see the holy countenance.

At the guest residence, a lechayim gathering was held with members of our kehilla, residents of Bnei Brak, the benefactors and patrons of the mosdos who contributed larger sums for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Bnei Brak. HaRav HaChasid R' Yoel Moshe Glick and HaRav R' Naftali Tzvi Brody shlit"a spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the entire gathering well. He delivered holy words about the importance of the Jews of Bnei Brak, who exert themselves beyond their ability for the benefit of the mosdos, which is a strong chizuk for the supporters of the mosdos from outside Eretz Yisroel, and concluded with his holy blessing.
Afterwards the supporters went over to receive the holy blessing.

Then a group of bochurim from the Yeshiva Gedola entered privately, who had distinguished themselves in the Ashmoras HaBoker seder. The Rebbe distributed his holy sefer Lev Aharon, Sugyos HaShas on Maseches Rosh Hashana - Sukkah, and wished them his holy blessings.

Likewise, a group of young men from the Gur kehilla entered privately, who presented themselves for a farher on three sedarim in Shas. The Rebbe farhered them sharply for a lengthy time and bestowed some of his holy blessings.

At around 3:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha at the guest residence.
Baal tefillah: HaRav HaChasid R' Yoel Landau (Williamsburg).

At around 4:30 the Rebbe went over to Kollel Chelkas Yaakov - Breish, where the Rebbe delivered a lengthy, profound shiur on the sugya of mitzvah haba'a b'aveirah for the rabbonim and learners of the kollel.
The Rebbe began with a tribute to the host, HaRav HaGaon R' Meir Lurie shlit"a, together with HaRav HaGaon R' Moshe Breish shlit"a, a son of the Chelkas Yaakov, and spoke in praise of the kollel, which is renowned and known to the public as a distinguished makom Torah, where distinguished talmidei chachomim, great in Torah, shlit"a, sit. The Rebbe continued with the words of the Midrash, "There is no honor but Torah," that to honor means with words of Torah, and one asks the Creator, "May the words of my mouth be acceptable." The Rebbe then began a lengthy shiur on the Mishnah in Maseches Sukkah 29b, "A stolen or dried lulav is invalid," in the sugya of mitzvah haba'a b'aveirah, delving into its length and breadth and weighing all the opinions of the Rishonim, which swept all the learners along in a fire of Simchas Torah. He then continued in the manner of aggadah for a lengthy time, and concluded with words of blessing for the Rosh HaKollel and all the rabbonim and learners of the kollel, and wished that they be able to learn in perfect health, to learn and to teach, to observe and to do, with a broadened mind until old age, and that the wicked not be able to disturb Jewish children who learn Torah and observe the mitzvos of Hashem.

The Rebbe then raised the difficult decree hanging over Jewish children in Eretz Yisroel and said that in chutz la'aretz it was known that there is a severe decree, but here he had heard people recount the anguish of the bochurim and parents, who live in constant fear, not knowing what the day will bring. He concluded with abundant blessings that Hashem should foil the counsel of the wicked, that we be able to learn with a broadened mind, and that in the merit of Torah learning we will merit the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu, speedily in our days, Amen.
At the end, the Rebbe engaged in give-and-take on the sugya with the roshei and learners of the kollel, in the fervor of Torah, for a lengthy time. The Rebbe left the kollel at around 5:45.

From there the Rebbe went to visit the Buhusi Rebbe shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued; he honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing, and he escorted the Rebbe shlit"a out.

From there the Rebbe went to visit the Sadigura Rebbe shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued; he honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing, and he escorted the Rebbe shlit"a out.

From there the Rebbe went to visit the Deesh Rebbe shlit"a in the hall of his beis medrash. A pleasant conversation ensued; he honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing, and he escorted the Rebbe shlit"a out.

Then at around 7:00 the Rebbe went to a lechayim gathering at the new location of 'Ilowitz Streimlach,' owned by HaRav HaChasid R' Shmuel Meir Ilowitz, one of the great supporters of the mosdos, who on this occasion pledged an enormous sum for the benefit of our Beis Medrash HaGadol in Bnei Brak. A pleasant conversation took place about the history of streimlach. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessing.
The Rebbe then returned to the guest residence.

At around 8:00 the further private entry times began for members of our kehilla, residents of Bnei Brak.

During the entry times, the Deesh Rebbe shlit"a came privately on a return visit. A pleasant conversation ensued; the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at the guest residence at around 11:15. Baal tefillah: the bochur Shalom son of R' Shlomo Freund. After Maariv the entry times continued until around 1:30.

After the entry times, a modest lechayim gathering was held in honor of the simcha in the home of HaRav HaChasid R' Shimon Schischa shlit"a, head of the rescuers at Merkaz Ezra V'Yeutz, at the guest residence. At the lechayim the Rebbe spoke of the difficulty of the situation, how bochurim and parents are lost, and spoke about the need to expand the offices and add workers to be able to meet the great demand and help everyone who wants to save himself, especially in Bnei Brak, where there are almost no askanim. The Rebbe also expressed his amazement at those who, unfortunately, want to agree to a compromise, saying, "I cannot understand them!" The Rebbe mentioned that people had already come to explain to him that it is not dangerous, that it will drag on for time, but the Rebbe answered that this approach will not work well and will only make things worse, especially by causing troubles for individuals, and who can abandon so many Jewish souls?
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chosson well, and especially the mechutan, R' Shimon shlit"a, that the great undertakings should succeed and that the funding should come easily, with the help of members of our kehilla from all over the world who help cover the expenses of thousands. The Rebbe bestowed holy blessings upon all the askanim of the Merkaz, and several niggunim were sung in honor of the occasion.
