Yesterday, in the holy words at the mezuzah-affixing ceremony for the magnificent building in Beis Rachel, "Binyan Leah Esther," the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a mentioned, "Kiryas Joel has been blessed with many wealthy people!" Echad hamarbeh ve'echad hamam'it – both the wealthy who give large sums and the young men. He related with great emotion that last Thursday a young man came in and gave a check for ten thousand to the building fund!! Whereas for others it is hard to take a hundred out of their pocket, as the Rebbe expressed it, "I was amazed by it."
The Rebbe gave holy blessings that there should be an abundance of parnassah, "and may all those who give be able to continue giving, and all those who wish to give be able to give."
