Friday, Erev Shabbos Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Talmud Torah, Binyan Klein, together with the talmidim of the 9th grade of the branch of R' Binyamin Ber Berkowitz shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Shlomo ben R' Noson Fish.
- The bochur Moshe Aryeh Brach.

After davening, the Rebbe blew the shofar and recited ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary during the month of Elul.

Afterwards, a lechayim gathering took place in the Heichal of the beis medrash. Several songs and rhymes were sung, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the bar mitzvah bochurim, the rebbeim and the children well, delivered words of Torah and guidance about the importance of the bochur years, and concluded with his holy blessing.

Afterwards, the Rebbe went down to the first floor of the Talmud Torah building, where the 'Berinah Yiktzoru' gathering and siyum of the year's review of learning took place with the talmidim of the 5th grade from all the branches of Mosdos Kiryas Joel. Several songs and rhymes were sung in honor of the occasion, and the head of the administrators, HaGaon R' Baruch Shlomo Weinberger shlit"a, tested the children on their learning while the Rebbe watched with great nachas.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished all the children well, delivered words of Torah and guidance to the children, encouraged them to daven and to recite Birkas HaMazon from inside a siddur, and concluded with his holy blessing. It ended at around 12:30.

At around 1:30, the Rebbe traveled to Monsey. First, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Monsey shlit"a, son-in-law of the Skver Rebbe shlit"a, who is sitting shiva for his sister, the Vizhnitz Rebbetzin, Kaymish a"h. A pleasant conversation developed about stories of the house of Rachmistrivka, and the Rebbe wished him words of consolation.

Afterwards, the Rebbe went over to pay a shiva call to HaGaon R' Mordechai Silberstein shlit"a, who is sitting shiva for his wife a"h.

Afterwards, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to R' Eliezer Friedman, who is sitting shiva for his son a"h. From there the Rebbe traveled home to Kiryas Joel.
