Tuesday, Parshas Shoftim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning the Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Eitz Chaim – Shiur Gimmel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yechezkel Shraga Naftali Herskovits.
After davening the Rebbe blew shofar and recited the ten chapters of Tehillim as is customary. After davening, the Rebbe also led the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 27, verse 3. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Heichal HaBeis Medrash.

At around 1:40 the Rebbe arrived at the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise, where the 'Chumash Seudah' took place for the more than five hundred first-grade talmidim, bli ayin hara, from all the branches of our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel.
The children sang several niggunim and rhymes in honor of the occasion,
and recited the verses of Chumash Vayikra, led by the principals R' Yoel Acker shlit"a, R' Dovid Chananya Weiss shlit"a, and R' Dovid Falkovitz shlit"a.
Afterwards the Rebbe drank a lechayim and delivered brief holy words and words of blessing to the children,
and the Rebbe distributed a gift to all the children — a Krias Shema She'al HaMitah, may they say it.

The Rebbe gave a gift to the distinguished R' Zalman Leib Kappel, who had purchased the merit of the occasion. The Rebbe also distributed shirayim to the grandchildren. Then the children stood up and danced while the Rebbe watched with great nachas for an extended time. It concluded at around 2:50.

Afterwards the Rebbe drove into Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
Yechidus hours were from 6:00 until 12:00 at night at the Rebbe's holy home on Hewes St.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at around 7:45, and Maariv at around 10:15 at his holy home.

Wednesday, Parshas Shoftim

In the morning before davening, the following brissim took place:
- The son born to R' Leib Frankel, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
- The son born to R' Moshe Shmuel Stein, where the Rebbe was sandek.

After the brissim the Rebbe received a report from HaGaon Rabbi Meir Zwiebel shlit"a, who conveyed a warm greeting from our holy kehillos in Eretz Yisroel, after he spoke at the historic cornerstone-laying event for the magnificent new building of our holy kehilla and mosdos in the holy city of Yerushalayim this past 26 Av, and likewise at the siyum haShas of the Toraschá Sha'ashuai group in Bnei Brak and in Beit Shemesh. The Rebbe also asked him about his address at the military court in Eretz Yisroel on behalf of several bochurim who were arrested because of the decree of drafting yeshiva students.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Yoel Moshe.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Yoel Kaufman – twins.
- The bochur Mordechai Weiss.
Afterwards the Rebbe lit candles and after Aleinu recited Kaddish in honor of the yahrzeit of the Rebbetzin Hendel a"h, wife of the holy R' Yisroel Yaakov Yukel of Valova zt"l.

After davening the Rebbe blew shofar and recited the ten chapters of Tehillim as is customary.

The Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 27, verse 3. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon hours the Melitz Rebbe shlit"a came for a visit to the Rebbe's holy home on Zanz St., to give and receive blessings in anticipation of the Days of Mercy and Favor, IY"H. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim, warmly wished him his holy blessing, and escorted him out to the street.

Yechidus hours were from 6:30 until 12:00 at night at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel St.

At around 7:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy home.
After Mincha the Rebbe said Kaddish in honor of the yahrzeit of the Rebbetzin Hendel a"h, wife of the holy R' Yisroel Yaakov Yukel of Valova zt"l.

After Mincha the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- R' Moshe Shraga Fogel and R' Yechezkel Shraga Stein shlit"a in the halls of Kinor David.
- R' Hillel Herskovits and R' Yoel Spielman in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.
- R' Meir Yehuda Malach and R' Yechezkel Altalef in the halls of Ginat Klein.

At around 10:30 the Rebbe went down to the tenaim hall at his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- R' Chaim Dovid Fried and R' Avrohom Schonbrun.
- R' Berish Gross shlit"a and R' Shlomo Zalman Weiss.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:00.
After Maariv the Rebbe went to the taharah room in the beis hachaim of our holy kehilla, where the Rebbe comforted the mourners, the sons of the venerable R' Gedalya Yermiash a"h.
