Wednesday, Parshas Va'eschanan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the beis medrash of Kehal Yereim – Beis Elimelech at around 8:50.

Baal tefillah: R' Shalom Weiss (Kiryas Joel). After davening, the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence. On the way, a conversation developed about the years of the Beirach Moshe zy"a in the city of Sighet after the war.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 8:50.
Baal tefillah: R' Chaim Avrohom Moskowitz (Kiryas Joel).

Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe was engaged in his learning. The Rebbe davened Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam, at around 9:20.

Thursday, Parshas Va'eschanan

In the morning, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the beis medrash of Kehal Yereim – Beis Elimelech at around 9:00.

After davening, the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence. On the way, a conversation developed about memories of the early years in America with the Beirach Moshe zy"a.

In the morning hours, a group of outstanding talmidim of the Yeshiva Ketana Rav Tov branch of Kiryas Joel, under the direction of HaRav R' Wolf Landau shlit"a, were tested in Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, part 1, at the Rebbe's holy residence. The Rebbe tested the bochurim at length on the halachos of melicha, basar b'chalav, and treifos. In the course of this, the Rebbe discussed various questions that arise nowadays in the slaughterhouses, as well as various accounts of halachos of treifos among tzaddikim in the old country. The Rebbe also related various questions in the halachos of treifos that came up this week during the visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse in Postville, Iowa.
Afterwards, the bochurim went over to receive a holy bracha, and the Rebbe especially extended warm wishes to the menahel HaRav R' Wolf Landau shlit"a and the other rebbeim of the yeshiva.

Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe was engaged in his learning. The Rebbe davened Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam, at around 9:20. Baal tefillah: the bochur Elimelech Eckstein (Kiryas Joel). After Maariv, the guests went over to take leave.
