Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Bamidbar, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the chasanim.

Friday night at around 8:55 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha, and after Mincha recited Kaddish in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandfather, the holy R' Aharon Teitelbaum zt"l Hy"d, Av Beis Din of Volove. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Chaim Nachum Wertzberger. Davening ended at around 10:30. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, the guests took leave, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 11:05 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the yeshiva students, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the Bochur Yissachar Ber Teitelbaum, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon Rabbi, Rav of the beis medrash Barech Moshe shlit"a. Lifting of the cup: HaRav HaTzaddik R' Zalman Yuda Kahana shlit"a, one of the rabbonim of our holy kehilla in Beit Shemesh.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: Rabbi Henoch Teitelbaum shlit"a (Beit Shemesh), son of the HaGaon, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of our kehilla in Yerushalayim shlit"a. Menucha V'simcha: HaRav HaTzaddik R' Zalman Yuda Kahana shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah discourse on the Midrash, 'When Hashem gave the Torah to Yisroel, the nations of the world became jealous of them,' and explained it in the manner of a derush on the sugya of techumin.

On the Holy Shabbos Day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe came in to daven at around 9:40. Berachos and Pesukei D'zimra: Rabbi Yitzchak Zev Greenwald shlit"a. The Rebbe then approached the amud for Shacharis.

Removing and returning the Torah: Rabbi Henoch Teitelbaum shlit"a. Pesukei Shema Yisroel: HaGaon R' Yuda Leib Neiman shlit"a (Monsey).

- Kohen: R' Gedalya son of Baruch Yuda Dresdner, and the Rebbe called out the name in honor of the birth of his daughter, mazel tov.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Seudah Shlishis at around 8:50.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah discourse on the Midrash, 'Why were they [Yisroel] drawn closer more than all the rest? Hashem sealed their mouths and said, bring me your record of lineage, just as my children bring,' and explained that 'the Avos established the tefillos.' When a Jew stands to daven, he draws on the holy Avos so that his tefillos be accepted, each according to the tefillos he established. Now, one day before Shavuos, we again daven Atah Chonen in Shacharis, Mincha and Maariv, and 'V'haer Eineinu from the depths of the heart,' and in the merit of the holy Avos it is accepted.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Shmuel Chaim Brach (Boro Park). Kel Mistater: R' Eliezer Lev. The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Shlomo Moshe Klagsbrun, and the Rebbe approached the amud for the counting of the Omer as is customary, and counted the final Omer with great fervor. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. It ended at around 11:10.

At around 12:45 the Rebbe went over to the home of R' Chaim Tager, where a lechayim and signing of documents took place, at which R' Chaim joined the 'Bonei Yerushalayim' by pledging a million dollars for the magnificent new building of our kehilla and holy mosdos in the holy city of Yerushalayim. A pleasant conversation ensued about stories of tzaddikim of the houses of Sanz and Gorlitz, of whom R' Chaim is a descendant. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessing.
