Thursday, Parshas Bamidbar, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Noach Landau, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, the Birach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Yosef Dov Rosenfeld.
- the bochur Aharon Yosef Friedman.
- the bochur Shmuel Binyamin Falkovitch.
- the bochur Shalom Eliezer Goldberger.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, he delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 25, verse 4. In connection with it, he spoke words of preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos, and urged everyone to adopt the fine custom of learning for two hours on the second day of Shavuos before davening, as in previous years. He then spoke with pain about the terrible situation in Williamsburg, both spiritually and materially, and in particular about the apartment prices, which have reached the sky and bring full-blown problems both materially and spiritually. This is aside from the other high expenses that come with the country / camp and so on. He asked the members of our community to encourage the children that the time has come to move away from Williamsburg, "there is another way" — one can live differently, and one needs to live differently. He concluded with his holy blessings.

Afterwards, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the evening, the Rebbe went up to the home of the Chassid R' Yisroel HaKohen Landau in honor of the simcha of a siyum HaShas. A pleasant conversation ensued; the Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed of his holy blessing.

Around 8:45, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Ohel Court.
Afterwards, there were entry times for kvitlach until 12:30 at night in his holy home.

During the entry times, the Vaad HaEruvin of the Kiryas Joel Beis Horaah entered together with HaGaon HaGadol, the Av Beis Din, shlit"a, and presented the newly completed map of the Shabbos boundaries (techum Shabbos) and the eruvei techumin throughout all of Kiryas Joel, which is being issued in honor of Yom Tov Shavuos. The Rebbe looked over the map for a lengthy time, and heard a report from HaRav R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a and HaRav R' Yoel Kahn shlit"a, chairman of the Vaad HaEruvin, about the many activities of the Vaad HaEruvin for the many eruvei techumin in all the neighborhoods of Kiryas Joel, and in particular the recently completed eruv in the Pri Megadim neighborhood. Various current questions regarding Yom Tov Shavuos were also discussed, and the Rebbe bestowed of his holy blessing upon the members of the Vaad HaEruvin that no stumbling block should come out of their handiwork.

A kesivas ha'osios also took place for the Sefer Torah being written by the Chassid R' Moshe Hersh Brach, which will be delivered on Shabbos Kodesh to the Hamispik resort. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank lechayim and bestowed of his holy blessing.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim of the mechutanim, the Chassid R' Menachem Yeshaya Levi and the Chassid R' Chaim Eliyahu Zvibel, with the tenaim taking place in his holy home.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:30. The Rebbe lit candles and approached the amud in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandfather, the holy Rebbe R' Aharon Tov"v zt"l, Av Beis Din of Volove.
