Today, at the daily Tehillim shiur in the hall of our yeshiva "Mesivta HaKedosha" of Satmar, the Rosh Yeshiva, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, quoted a Chasam Sofer, that bringing in a Sefer Torah must be done "publicly, with great fanfare," because it leaves an impression on the children and instills fear of Heaven in them. "'Serve Hashem with joy' — the joy of a mitzvah, of the hachnasas sefer Torah — and 'serve Hashem with awe' — this brings and instills fear of Heaven."

The Rebbe then invited the talmidim, the "invited children," of our holy yeshivos everywhere to the "days of our joy, the Rebbe's hachnasas sefer Torah."

"..Hashem helped me, and I merited to fulfill the mitzvah of writing a Sefer Torah. The Chasam Sofer says that it is brought in publicly with a large crowd, so that it instills fear of Heaven in everyone, and it influences the 'invited children.' I want to invite all the talmidim who are here now in this yeshiva, but also, as an invitation, all the other talmidim of the yeshivos, 'our holy yeshivos' everywhere. I hope to fulfill 'Serve Hashem with joy' and 'Serve Hashem with awe, and rejoice with trembling,' so that it will be a joy of a mitzvah together with fear of Heaven.."
