During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went to hagbah. After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the heichal of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon at around 7:25, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for Mincha. The baal tefillah was R' Yudel Bernstein Schwartz.

After Mincha, the Rebbe ascended the bimas hakavod for the elevated gathering of 'Our Water' (Mayim Shelanu) in the presence of thousands of anash. Many songs of joy and inspiration were sung.
The Rebbe shlit"a delivered fiery divrei kodesh, with lengthier words of guidance and preparation for Yom Tov Pesach. He added that "mayim shelanu" has the numerical value of "Dovid ben Yishai"; by rejoicing now with the mitzvah of mayim shelanu, we arouse the Geulah Sheleimah. He continued with powerful words of emunah and concluded with powerful words of blessing.

The singing of songs of inspiration and preparation continued. The Rebbe stood up with holy emotion and recited the Lesheim Yichud for the mitzvah, then drew mayim shelanu from the spigot flowing from the well on the bimas hakavod and poured it in, along with several jugs, counting by the letters of the alphabet: alef, beis, gimmel, etc. He then honored the Rabbanim HaGeonim, the sons and sons-in-law of the Rebbe shlit"a, and the rabbonim and dayanim of Kiryas Joel to draw water, and went out in joy of mitzvah and holiness into fiery dancing with a holy flame for an extended time. It concluded at around 8:40.

Immediately after the gathering, Maariv was davened. The baal tefillah was R' Yudel Bernstein Schwartz.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went home to his holy residence. As is customary, the Rebbe laid out the 10 pieces of bread around the table, recited the blessing on the removal of chametz with great enthusiasm, gathered the pieces, and then continued, with physical exertion, to conduct bedikas chametz throughout the entire house. At the conclusion, the Rebbe recited Kol Chamira with outpouring of the soul.

Late at night, the Rebbe arranged the final lists of his tzedakos and Kimcha D'Pischa, to whom the Rebbe sent out significant sums in honor of Yom Tov.
