Tuesday, Parshas Vayikra — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the following brisos took place:
- The son of R' Yitzchak Wolf Mittelman, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.
- The son of R' Avrohom Shlomo Weinstock (Williamsburg), at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the main beis medrash. Before the davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The son of HaRav R' Binyomin Zev Fuchs shlit"a.
- The bochur Yoel Schnitzer.
After the davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe went over to the matzah bakery, where he looked over the new oven that was purchased for use in baking matzos on Erev Pesach, in the presence of a large crowd at Heichal HaMesivta under the leadership of the Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe gave various instructions and conveyed his holy blessing to the askanim.

At around 6:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
Upon arriving in Williamsburg at around 8:30, the Rebbe first went to our beis medrash in the Gelbstein building in the Cascade neighborhood, where a siyum on Hilchos Taharah was held by the members of our kollel, Williamsburg Cascade branch, together with a chanukas habayis for the new Heichal Lev Aharon, which was recently completed in the beis medrash. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, wished the rabbanim and the entire assembly well, and delivered brief words of Torah and blessing to the kollel members and the mispallelim of the beis medrash. It concluded at around 8:45.

Afterward, the Rebbe went to be menachem avel R' Moshe Zilberstein, who is sitting shiva for his wife a"h.

The reception hours in Kiryas Joel ran from 9:10 until 11:50 at night, in the Rebbe's holy home on Hughes St.

During the reception hours, a lechayim celebration took place in honor of the bar mitzvah simcha of the bochur Yehuda Yudkowski shlit"a, son of the Stutchin Rebbe, Rabbi Eliezer Yehoshua shlit"a, and grandson of R' Asher Zelig Lev, the rav of our holy kehilla in London. A beautiful conversation ensued with stories of tzaddikim of the Sighet dynasty. The Rebbe honored those present with a lechayim and conveyed his holy blessing to the Stutchin Rebbe shlit"a, to the rav R' Asher Zelig, and to the bar mitzvah bochur, and gave him a gift of his sefer Lev Aharon on Pirkei Avos.

Also entering the reception hours was Rabbi Yosef Meisels shlit"a, son of the Av Beis Din of Montreal shlit"a, in honor of the bar mitzvah simcha of his son. The Rebbe gave him a gift of his sefer Lev Aharon on Pirkei Avos and conveyed his holy blessing.

Likewise, as every year, a delegation from the Vaad Marchas HaKashrus under the auspices of the Rabbinical Union entered and presented the Rebbe with the new kashrus guide. The Rebbe thanked them and conveyed his holy blessing.

Also entering were the administrators of Beis Medrash Berach Moshe in Boro Park, headed by the rav of the beis medrash, HaGaon R' Moshe Dovid Horowitz shlit"a, on the occasion of finalizing the purchase of a large building that will, b'ezras Hashem, be rebuilt into a grand and magnificent beis medrash for all its members. The Rebbe asked about all the details and conveyed his holy blessing.

Also entering was Rabbi Peretz Steinberg shlit"a, one of the rabbanim of Young Israel in Queens Valley, together with askanim of the organization 'Nishmah', to seek counsel regarding various problems occurring in Jewish homes. The Rebbe listened and gave guidance on various matters, and conveyed his holy blessings.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:15 and then continued receiving the public.

After the reception hours, the Rebbe traveled to Boro Park, where he participated in the Sheva Brachos celebration of the grooms, grandsons of R' Hershel Spitz, host of the Rebbe shlit"a in Palm Springs, which was held in the halls of Grand Terrace. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the grooms, the mechutanim, and the grandfathers well, and stood up to dance together with the entire assembly. It concluded at around 12:30.
