Report
Sunday, Parshas Vayakhel, Shushan Purim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Nosson Nata Moshe Wieder.
- The bochur Yoel, son of the bochur Boruch Mordechai Markowitz.

After davening, a bris was held for the newborn son of R' Yaakov Mordechai Friedman, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel. Afterwards, a lechayim celebration was held in the Heichal HaBeis Medrash, and the Rebbe wished mazel tov to the baal bris and the bar mitzvah bochurim.

At around 1:30, the Rebbe went over to the home of the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a, to a lechayim celebration in honor of the simcha of the hachnasas sefer Torah that was being brought into Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek. A pleasant conversation took place with the rabbonim shlit"a who were present. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly wished mazel tov to the Rav, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a, to his brothers the rabbonim shlit"a, and to the entire assembly. He then led the sefer Torah out into the street with song and music, and danced with the sefer Torah beneath the chuppah for an extended time. Afterwards he handed the sefer Torah over to the Rav and continued with the dancing for a while. At around 2:00, the Rebbe returned to his holy home.

At around 3:30, the Rebbe returned to Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek for the hachnasas sefer Torah. The Rebbe took the sefer Torah and led the holy dancing for an extended time, and then honored the Rav of the Beis Medrash, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a, to dance with the sefer Torah. Afterwards the Rebbe recited "Ledavid Mizmor" as is customary. It concluded at around 3:50.

At around 5:10, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

After Mincha, the Rebbe went over to the halls of Ginas Klein for the seudah of the siyum on the Torah. A pleasant conversation took place. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and warmly wished mazel tov to the Rav, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a, and to the entire assembly. He delivered words of Torah and brought out the great joy that there is at a hachnasas sefer Torah, saying that the great joy is only a minhag, as explained in the Chasam Sofer; a minhag overrides a halacha, breaks through all the halachos, and brings down all blessings. He concluded with his holy blessing.
Afterwards the Rebbe began dancing together with the entire mizrach-side assembly.
The Rebbe left the hall at around 6:00 and traveled to Williamsburg for his holy table in honor of Shushan Purim among our holy kehilla.

At around 7:10, the Rebbe entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the holy table in honor of Shushan Purim. Upon entering, the Rebbe danced in place for a while, and then washed for the seudah in honor of the day.
At the meat course, a helzel was brought in as is customary.
During the tish, there was extended singing and music with drums and dancing. The Rebbe gave out honors for the zemiros. Asher Hania: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Moshe Friedman shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of our kehilla in Boro Park. Shoshanas Yaakov: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Avrohom Meir Halberstam shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of our kehilla on 18th Ave.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered 6 divrei Torah.
First Torah: On the verse
"And she touched the top of the scepter," explaining that when a korban is sanctified, one sanctifies the limb on which the soul depends, so the holiness spreads through the entire body. For this reason the tefillin, which are opposite the heart and on the head, sanctify the entire body of a Jew. He aroused everyone to the greatness of the mitzvah of tefillin, that we should hold it holy and dear.

Second Torah: On the verse "Let my soul be given to me at my petition, and my people at my request," explaining that by subduing the 7 kelipos of the yetzer hara, salvation came.

Third Torah: Through the power of the mikvah, Haman the wicked was defeated, and so too through the power of the customs of Israel. He aroused each person to conduct himself according to the minhag of his forefathers, because the customs of Israel are holy.

Fourth Torah: On the verse "and sending portions one to another," which is the numerical value of 5708 (תש"ח), the initials of Torah, Chaim, Shalom, and which has an influence not only on Purim but all year long.

The Rebbe stood up to dance in honor of Purim and danced with all his heart and soul for a long time.

Fifth Torah: On the verse "seeking good for his people," explaining that through giving tzedakah one brings down all good blessings. In this connection, he honored all those named Binyomin and Wolf to come up to the table to collect money for the benefit of the Rebbe's fund, "Kupas Avnei Chesed."

Sixth Torah: On "The right hand of Hashem is exalted," saying that by conducting oneself with the attributes of kindness, one brings down kindness and mercy. He concluded with abundant blessings for the entire assembly.

Afterwards, R' Nachman Levy performed with words of badchanus in honor of the day. Kraut was served in honor of Purim, and then the Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup. It concluded at around 10:15.

A few minutes later, the Rebbe davened Maariv in the Heichal HaBeis Medrash.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went to be menachem avel the family of R' Yitzchak Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Friedman and R' Avrohom Bentzion Shaper, who are sitting shiva for his daughter / his wife a"h.
Afterwards, he visited Rabbi Yitzchak Motzen shlit"a and his distinguished sons, who are sitting shiva for his wife / their mother a"h.

The Rebbe then set out on the way to his holy home in Kiryas Joel.
