The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a today delivered powerful, lengthy words of guidance at the holy table, at the "Special Day" for the more than 650 ninth-grade students of our holy mosdos from across Greater New York. He also expressed words of praise for rising on the night of Erev Shabbos during the days of Shovavim, as the Rebbe expressed himself: "..I want to make the blessing of 'HaTov V'HaMeitiv' on this good news," "..it surely pierced the heavens and made an impression."

He then expressed his emotional feelings: "..I heard good news of good commitments that the bochurim have taken upon themselves now, from Rosh Chodesh Adar until Yom Tov of Purim, which is coming to us for peace, to learn 'consecutive hours' as a great preparation for the 'Simchas Hachnasas Sefer Torah' that will take place IY"H soon. This is an aspect of 'Vehaya shamo'a tishme'un' - if you listen to the old, you will hear the new.."
"I want to invite all the bochurim to the simcha of the Hachnasas Sefer Torah. I want you to have a share in the joy of the mitzvah, but I also want you to have a share in the preparation for the Hachnasas Sefer Torah through learning Torah."

Finally, he spoke about the terrible situation prevailing in the world: "..'Let my soul be given to me at my petition, and my people at my request.' There are, unfortunately, many Jews all over the world with the bitter illness that is going around, and they need salvations and cures. May Hashem help a complete recovery for all those Jews who need a cure, and may Hashem help that all those who are healthy remain healthy. 'Men, women and children, old and young,' may all Jewish children be healthy physically and spiritually, until Hashem helps that we all merit to go out to greet the righteous Redeemer, speedily in our days, amen.
