Tuesday, Parshas Terumah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yerachmiel Gruber, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Beis Medrash Imrei Noam together with the talmidim of Yeshivas Derech HaTorah, under the leadership of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Oppenheim shlit"a, and Yeshivas Shvil HaTorah, under the leadership of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Neiman shlit"a.
Upon arriving in the beis medrash, the Rebbe walked around among the bochurim and looked over their learning with great nachas.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the main hall of the beis medrash. Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank a lechayim and extended good wishes to his son, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, to the directors, and to all the talmidim of the yeshiva. The Rebbe delivered words of Torah on the verse "Veyikchu Li Terumah," which alludes to Torah and tefillah, and, in praise of the yeshiva, brought out that a strong emphasis is placed on rising early to learn before davening, which is both Torah and tefillah, since a tefillah after learning has much greater power. He also brought out the merit of a yeshiva away from home, continued with words of guidance for the days of Purim, and concluded with his holy blessings.

In the afternoon, around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
Along the way, the Rebbe shlit"a heard a telephone report about the trip of the delegation of rabbanim, headed by HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, to visit the mehudar slaughterhouse in Uruguay, where the Rebbe shlit"a established a splendid, mehudar system of shechita for large animals. The rabbanim were very impressed with the entire shechita system and with the effort that the distinguished baalei batim of Mi'el Mart invested to meet all the hiddurim and improvements, and they greatly praised the Rebbe for the entire shechita system, which is at the highest standard of kashrus, b'siyata d'Shmaya.

Reception hours in Williamsburg ran from 8:15 until 12:15 at night, in his holy home on Hooper St.

During the reception hours, the Skulen Rebbe of Yeshuos Yaakov shlit"a came for a visit to receive the Rebbe's blessing in honor of the first Shabbos to be held in Beis Medrash Netzach Yisroel Skulen in Williamsburg. A pleasant conversation developed, and the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed upon him his holy blessings.

Also entering the Rebbe's room was HaRav R' Yoel Schwartz shlit"a, dayan of our beis medrash in the Gelbstein building. He showed the Rebbe shlit"a his new sefer "B'Shvili Halacha" on the halachos of Yom Tov, which is IY"H going to print, b'siyata d'Shmaya, and in addition conveyed regards from this past Shabbos Mishpatim, when the Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a conducted an uplifting Shabbos Hisachdus among the members of the neighborhood.

Likewise, HaRav R' Hershel Ashkenazi shlit"a, menahel of the Yeshiva Ketana branch Be'er HaTorah, entered to receive the Rebbe's blessing for the simcha of his daughter's marriage, mazel tov, which will take place next week on Monday, Parshas Tetzaveh. The chosson is a grandson of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessings.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 11:15 and afterward continued receiving the public.

Later, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, entered to receive a farewell blessing for his trip on a holy mission for the great benefit of our holy mosdos, and in honor of Shabbos Shekalim among our holy kehilla in Bnei Brak, may it be rebuilt.

The Rebbe conveyed holy words to be relayed to the public, and the Rebbe blessed sugar that will be distributed to the talmidim of the mosdos, and then bid him farewell, wishing him a safe journey to life and to peace.
