Sunday, Parshas Terumah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Berish Laub, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, the Birkas Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Yisroel Efraim Fishel Landau.
- The bochur Shimon Schwartz.
- The bochur Mordechai Wertzberger.
- The bochur Yoel Yirmiyahu Marmorstein.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 24, verse 1. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to Heichal HaYeshiva, the Vayoel Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 6:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, before the yichud hours, HaGaon R' Lipa Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Sasov Rebbe shlit"a and son-in-law of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav of our kehilla, Boro Park 15, shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's room together with his son, the chassan Naftali ny"v, one of the distinguished talmidim of our holy yeshiva, to extend an invitation and receive the Rebbe's blessing in honor of the wedding celebration taking place this coming Monday, Parshas Tetzaveh, in Williamsburg, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

Also appearing before the Rebbe shlit"a for a farewell examination on all of Hilchos Shabbos were the bochur Yaakov, son of HaGaon R' Dovid Hirsch shlit"a, and the bochur Yehuda, son of R' Naftali Hirtzka Stein.

The yichud hours in the Rebbe's room lasted from 8:30 until 12:00 at night, at his holy residence on Uhel Court.

During the yichud hours, HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Yoshe Eichenstein shlit"a, Rosh Yeshivas Yad Aharon in Eretz Yisroel, entered the Rebbe's room. He had traveled especially from Eretz Yisroel on behalf of HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Dov Landau shlit"a, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka and one of the great leaders of the yeshiva world, to rouse the Jewish diaspora over the burning, bitter decree of the draft in Eretz Yisroel.
The Rosh Yeshiva asked the Rebbe shlit"a to rouse the entire world, Jewish and non-Jewish alike, over the bitter, terrible decree hanging over thousands of bochurim in Eretz Yisroel. A lengthy conversation ensued in which the matter was discussed in all its details. The Rebbe greatly encouraged the Rosh Yeshiva shlit"a, that he should be able to accomplish what is needed, and promised to stand by him with anything he can help with. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing and escorted him out with great honor.

Also coming for a visit was the Dzikov-Melitz Rebbe shlit"a of Monsey, to receive the Rebbe's blessing in honor of the wedding celebration of his grandson, mazel tov. A pleasant conversation ensued about the topic of pidyon shevuyim in connection with the recent events in Guatemala, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:00.
