Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Mishpatim, Shabbos Mevarchim Chodesh Adar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 6:15 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went up to daven Mincha.
Upon arriving in the beis medrash, the Rebbe warmly greeted the Poltishan Rebbe shlit"a, who was spending Shabbos in Kiryas Joel.
Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Dovid Eckstein. It ended at around 7:45. An appeal was made for the tzedakah of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes Kollel Siebenbürgen. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 8:40 the Rebbe entered the holy table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber Taub, son of the son-in-law of the Rebbe's son, HaGaon Rabbi Baruch Moshe shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash. Hagbahas HaKos: the Rebbe's grandson, HaRav R' Chaim Hersh Ashkenazi shlit"a, rav of the Rav Tov beis medrash.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: Yoel, son of Rabbi Berger shlit"a. Menucha V'Simcha: the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel (Williamsburg) shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "V'chi yazid ish al re'eihu" and explained, in the manner of a derush, the sugya of whether there is a moda'a.

This week the Rebbe shlit"a related stories and accounts of his grandfather, the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on Thursday, 29 Shevat.

With Kah Ribon Olam, the Rebbe honored talmidim of the Bobov Yeshiva Gedolah from Boro Park who were spending Shabbos B'tzeil HaKodesh. The newly engaged young men went over to take fruit. Ki Bayom HaShevi'i: R' Yitzchak Weiser (Williamsburg). It ended at around 11:40.

On Shabbos Kodesh

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:25. Brachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: Rabbi Yudel Schwartz shlit"a. The Rebbe recited Vechoros verse by verse, and went up to daven Shacharis.

- Kohen: R' Chaim Eli Schonbrun - the Rebbe called the name in honor of the birth of his daughter, mazel tov.

After the Torah reading, the Rebbe shlit"a blessed Rosh Chodesh with great inspiration, and went up to daven Mussaf in honor of the holy hilula of his grandfather, the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a, this week. Opening of Anim Zemiros: R' Yechezkel Zev Kraus (Boro Park). It ended at around 12:15.

After davening the Rebbe went to the home of the mishabek, R' Chaim Shlomo Fisher, where a bris was held for a newborn son of his son, Rabbi Lipa Yoel Fisher shlit"a, at which the Rebbe was sandek and mohel. A Kiddush Rabba was also held in honor of the birth of a daughter to R' Chaim Eli Schonbrun, son-in-law of the mishabek R' Chaim Shlomo. After the bris the Rebbe made Kiddush and tasted mezonos and fish. A pleasant conversation with stories of tzaddikim followed, and the Rebbe blessed the baal bris, Rabbi Lipa Yoel shlit"a, the baal simcha, R' Chaim Eli Schonbrun, the mishabek R' Chaim Shlomo, all the grandfathers, and the entire gathering. It ended at around 1:00.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 6:15.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "V'eileh hamishpatim asher tasim lifneihem" and explained that through engaging in Torah one regains the tzelem Elokim, tefillos are accepted, and it helps teshuva.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Shlomo Moshe Klugsbrun. Kel Mistatter: R' Bentzion Wertzberger. Shoshanas Yaakov: R' Yisroel Meir Friedman. The Rebbe blessed over the cup and recited Sheva Brachos.

The Rebbe went up to daven Maariv on Motzei Shabbos in honor of the holy hilula this week. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. It ended at around 8:40.

After Havdalah, a group of talmidim of Yeshiva Ketana Bobov 45 from Boro Park, who spent Shabbos B'tzeil HaKodesh, entered the Rebbe's room. The Rebbe inquired about their studies and bestowed his holy blessing upon them.

At around 10:15 the Poltishan Rebbe shlit"a, who spent Shabbos in Kiryas Joel, paid a visit to the Rebbe. A pleasant conversation ensued, the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

HaGaon R' Simcha Avrohom Kornreich shlit"a, son-in-law of the Lelov Rebbe zt"l, also entered. A pleasant conversation took place, and HaGaon R' Simcha Avrohom shlit"a presented the Rebbe shlit"a with a sefer, Mishteh Yayin, on Megillas Esther, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

At around 10:45 the Rebbe went to the new home of his grandson, Rabbi Meir Yuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, son-in-law of the son of the Rebbe, HaGaon Rabbi Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah and drank a lechayim. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

Afterward the Rebbe went to the home of his grandson, Rabbi Mordechai Yuda Halberstam shlit"a, son-in-law of the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, where a seudas hodaah was held in honor of the miracles that occurred in an accident several weeks ago involving one of his children. A pleasant conversation took place with the grandfathers, HaGaon Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a and HaGaon Av Beis Din of Beis Aharon shlit"a. Rabbi Mordechai Yuda shlit"a spoke words of praise and thanks, and songs of thanksgiving and joy were sung.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and warmly blessed the entire family, and delivered divrei kodesh expressing feelings of gratitude to Hashem, concluding with abundant blessings. The Rebbe then danced with the entire family. It ended at around 11:50.

From there the Rebbe traveled to the Anshei Chayil Frankfurt beis medrash in the Chasam Sofer neighborhood, where a gathering of the talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah, the Esek HaTorah branch in Monsey, was held together with a Sheva Brachos made in honor of the Rebbe by HaGaon R' Yisroel Mordechai Seidenfeld shlit"a, menahel of the yeshiva, on the occasion of his son's marriage, mazel tov.
A pleasant conversation took place, and the Rebbe related holy stories of the Yitev Lev zy"a regarding teaching Torah to talmidim, and spoke in praise of the yeshiva. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and blessed the chassan, the mechutanim, the yeshiva's administration, and all the rebbeim, talmidim and alumni of the yeshiva, and then stood up to dance with the entire gathering, especially with the chassan. It ended at around 12:40 and the Rebbe returned to his holy home.
