Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Yisro, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim.

On Friday night at around 6:05, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbolas Shabbos: Rabbi Yoel Stein shlit"a. Davening concluded at around 7:40. An appeal was held for the Argentinian mosdos. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe entered the tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and melody.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber Teitelbaum, son-in-law of the Rav of the Beis Medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a. Lifting of the cup: R' Yosef Nachum Sturm (Boro Park).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the Midrash "What news did he hear and come? He heard the parsha of the mekoshesh," and explained, by way of derush, the topic of "the Torah spoke in the language of human beings."

Stories and accounts: This week the Rebbe shlit"a related an account about the shidduch of the holy Divrei Chaim zy"a, which came about on Tu B'Shevat.

The new chassanim went over to take fruit, and bundles were brought in and joyous melodies were sung in honor of the Shalom Zachor for the Rebbe's grandson, the newborn son of Rabbi Elchanan Chaim Meisels shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
Az B'Yom HaShevii: R' Aharon Tzvi Mittelman (Boro Park), and they continued with Elyonim Sasu in honor of Shabbos, the giving of the Torah. The tish concluded at around 11:30.

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:25. Brochos and Pesukei D'Zimra: Rabbi Yoel Spitzer shlit"a. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 6:05.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vayishma Yisro," and explained that in the merit of Klal Yisroel fulfilling mitzvos that are a chok without a stated reason, teshuva helps for all sins.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Moshe Wertzberger (Montreal). Kel Mistater: R' Yehuda Moshe Gelb (Montreal). The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup and said Sheva Brochos.

Maariv Motzei Shabbos: R' Yerucham Zev Fried. After Havdalah, the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. The davening concluded at around 8:35.

At around 10:10, the Rebbe went to affix a mezuzah at the new 'Icon' business center in the expanded Beirach Moshe neighborhood. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah on the main entrance, after which a lechayim gathering was held in the lobby. A pleasant conversation developed with those present. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and warmly wished the owner, R' Yoel Brach, as well as the owners of the new local businesses and the builders of the building, then toured the entire building and looked around, hearing a report from the Kiryas Joel administration about further plans.

From there the Rebbe went to the halls of Ginas Klein, where a siyum on the Shas was being held by R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel. A pleasant conversation developed. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, bestowed his holy blessing, and spoke words of praise about R' Dovid, that despite being heavily occupied with the needs of the community, he has already completed Shas several times. The Rebbe encouraged the children and grandchildren to learn from him and emulate him, and concluded with his holy blessing.

From there, at around 11:00, the Rebbe arrived at the home of the Rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a for the Vachnacht celebration in honor of the birth of his grandson, the newborn son of Rabbi Elchanan Chaim Meisels shlit"a. A pleasant conversation developed about the holy Rebbe R' Yehoshua of Belz zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls this week, and especially about the Shabbos that he spent in Sighet. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the baal simcha Rabbi Elchanan Chaim shlit"a, the Rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, the family members, and the entire community. On his way out, the Rebbe recited Krias Shema and wished the mothers well. The Rebbe left the home at around 11:30.
