Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Beshalach, Shabbos Shirah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the resort city of Palm Springs

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, before the visible sunset at around 4:15, the Rebbe ceased from work, as is his custom.

On Friday night at around 6:05, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash, wrapped himself in his tallis, and approached Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav R' Yisroel Hersh Rottenberg shlit"a (Williamsburg). The davening concluded at around 7:30. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the guests took leave and wished the Rebbe shlit"a mazel tov, and the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence.

At around 9:45, the door of his holy residence was opened for the zemiros and divrei Torah.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaRav HaChasid R' Moshe Goldstein (Kiryas Joel). Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav HaChasid R' Yoel Epstein (Kiryas Joel).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse 'The sea saw and fled,' and explained, in the manner of a drush, the topic of "the Torah speaks in the language of man."

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:30. The Rebbe approached Pesukei D'Zimra and Shacharis, and recited Hallel HaGadol and the Shirah verse by verse with great emotion and fervor, and sent to the chazaras hashatz the Chadvan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah, speaking at length, on the verse 'And it was when Pharaoh sent out the people,' and explained that the merit of Moshe Rabbeinu protects all those who engage in Torah, so that they will be awakened to teshuvah and be able to rectify every aveirah and blemish.
