Thursday, Parshas Vaera — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At approximately 8:15, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis.

- Opening (Pesicha): R' Shalom Menashe Eisenberger (Shikun Skvira).
- Baal Korei: R' Dovid Eckstein.
- Kohen: R' Aharon Perl (Boro Park).
- Levi: R' Chaim Hersh Apfel (Kiryas Joel).
- Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a.
- Hagbah: HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yosef Yisroel Eisenberger shlit"a, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of Shikun Skvira.
- Gelilah: R' Chaim Yechiel Michel Brisk.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence. A beautiful conversation took place about the expansion of the boundaries of holiness in Kiryas Joel, and the power of tzedakah that the Divrei Yoel zt"l planted among his talmidim and chassidim.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe offered consolation by telephone to the children of HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Moshe Aharon Reich zt"l, Av Beis Din of Przeworsk.

In the evening at approximately 5:40, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Mincha. Upon his arrival in the beis medrash, the talmidim of the Yeshiva Gedolah, Shiur Dalet, together with the roshei yeshiva R' Aryeh Dov Kornbluh shlit"a and R' Yitzchak Yaakov Rosenfeld shlit"a, who came to spend Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh, greeted the Rebbe. Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe was engaged in his learning, and at the time of Rabbeinu Tam at approximately 6:20, Maariv was davened.
