Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayigash — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos towards evening, at around 5:15, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yitzchak Feierstein. The davening concluded at around 6:45.
After davening, an appeal was held for the "Chaver Neeman" fundraiser for the Vaad HaPeulah of the Eidah HaChareidis. The congregation then went up to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe entered the Shulchan HaTahor in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber Teitelbaum, son of the Rav of the Beis Medrash Beirach Moshe, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a. Hagbahas HaKos: R' Yoel Yaakov (Yerushalayim).

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah thought on the verse "U'vnei Dan Chushim" and explained, in the manner of a derush, the topic of whether before the giving of the Torah there was a halachic status of a Jew or the status of a Ben Noach.

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:25. Brachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: HaGaon R' Akiva Yosef Kahana shlit"a; the Rebbe then approached the amud for Shacharis.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah thought on the verse "Vayishlacheni Elokim lifneichem lasum lachem sheeris baaretz," and explained that Yosef HaTzaddik did not inform Yaakov Avinu that he was alive because the shevatim had issued a decree, and Yosef upheld all the takanos of Chazal. In that merit, Hakadosh Baruch Hu will also fulfill all the obligations of a husband to his wife, which are a takana of Chazal, and will bestow parnassah and refuah upon all of Klal Yisroel. He strongly urged being careful in all mitzvos d'Rabbanan, especially, during these short winter days, davening Mincha, and in that merit Hakadosh Baruch Hu will fulfill all the obligations of a husband to his wife and redeem Klal Yisroel from galus.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Moshe Schwartz (Williamsburg). Kel Mistateir: R' Chaim Yaakov (Williamsburg). The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup.

Maariv for Motzei Shabbos: R' Chaim Yaakov. After Havdalah, the congregation went up to wish a good week. The davening concluded at around 7:20.

After Havdalah, the Rebbe comforted the mourners R' Mordechai Mattisyahu Halpert and R' Shlomo Heimlich, who are sitting shiva for his daughter / wife a"h.

A group of bochurim from Yeshivas Noam HaTorah of Monsey, who spent Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh, entered the Rebbe's holy residence. The Rebbe asked them about their learning, and the bochurim then received the Rebbe's blessing.
