"I will thank You in the great assembly; among a mighty people I will praise You" – "Hashem's kindnesses have not ended, for His mercies have not been consumed":

As the heads of the people gathered, the tribes of Israel together, the 80th anniversary of the day of rescue and liberation of the Divrei Yoel zy"a was celebrated and marked at the central, magnificent and exalted gathering — the Seudas Hoda'ah on the Night of Thanksgiving, Motzei Shabbos, 21 Kislev — in the presence of tens of thousands of the leaders of Klal Yisroel, headed by dozens of rabbonim and dayanim shlit"a, and at their head the leader of the kehilla, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the gigantic, enormous 'Binyan HaHoda'ah' of over 70 thousand square feet that was erected at the Waterfront Square in Williamsburg, combined with the 'Gadlu V'Hitzlichu' dinner for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg and their thousands of children, may they live and be well.

The enormous Binyan HaHoda'ah was masterfully set up to accommodate the many thousands of chassidim from greater New York and the surrounding area.

In honor of the exalted gathering, a very rich booklet was published, with historical articles and pictures and details of the expansion of the boundaries of holiness within our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, as well as a beautiful collection of zemiros for Motzei Shabbos and Chanukah, with a compilation of divrei Torah from the Rebbe shlit"a.
Likewise, to all the benefactors at the dinner was distributed the tenth volume of the splendid and rich sefer 'Mishulchan Melachim', the Shabbos talks of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a from the year 5778.

Throughout the gathering, the wonderful singer Rabbi Yaakov Daskal from Eretz Yisroel entertained with songs and praises, accompanied by the renowned choir and led by the renowned conductor R' Mendy Herskowitz.

Serving as chairman of the gathering was HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Daskal shlit"a, Rosh Yeshivas Bialya in Eretz Yisroel and one of the heads of the chaburos in our holy yeshiva in Bnei Brak, who led the exalted gathering with good judgment and wisdom and spoke with his brilliant words of Torah in honor of the day.

At around 9:55 the Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, HaGaon HaTzaddik, spoke about the greatness of the day and about the wonderful fruits that come out of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.

At around 8:45 the Rebbe shlit"a departed from Kiryas Joel on the way to Williamsburg for the Hoda'ah gathering.
Upon arriving in Williamsburg, before the Hoda'ah gathering, the Rebbe went to console the family of R' Efraim Friedman a"h, who is in mourning.

Afterward the Rebbe went to the gigantic Binyan HaHoda'ah, where the Rebbe first entered a side room, where high-ranking government officials came in to see the Rebbe shlit"a, among them the esteemed Mayor of New York City Eric Adams, Congressman from Monsey Mike Lawler, and many others, and the Rebbe thanked them for standing by to help our kehilla and our holy mosdos.
At around 10:35, tens of thousands of chassidim had the privilege of greeting the holy countenance of the Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe entered the hall, and the crowd of thousands broke out in fiery dancing to "Chasdei Hashem," for the miracles that You performed in those days and in this time. The Rebbe greeted the dozens of rabbonim and then danced, with fiery holy dancing and great emotion, for several minutes in honor of the day.

Afterward the Rebbe shlit"a washed for the pure table in honor of the day, and after the fish he wished a lechayim and gave his holy blessing to the tens of thousands of Yidden, and then he rose and set out in a joyous dance to the Hoda'ah melodies "Chasdei Hashem," "Becha Batchu," "Ashrei HaAm," "V'Hi She'amda," and more.

During the gathering, the director of the mosdos administration, R' Mordechai Elazar Hirsch, addressed the crowd, thanking the great benefactors and the askanim who devote themselves to the mosdos in general and now at the Hoda'ah gathering. He lauded the full contributions of the generous-hearted and leaders of our holy kehilla, without which alone the mosdos cannot continue, listed the names of the esteemed benefactors who contributed larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos, and spoke about the expansion of the boundaries of holiness in our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.

Afterward R' Mordechai Elazar called upon the well-known Rabbi Aharon David Tversky shlit"a, who has helped the mosdos greatly on the legal front over the past eight years. Then the guiding spirit and chairman of the mosdos administration, R' Yechezkel David Berkowitz, spoke and appealed to the crowd to help the administration bear the burden of the large expenses in such difficult times, and then called upon Rabbi Moshe Silk to speak and relate the course of events regarding the mosdos' legal costs over the past years.

At around 12:00 they had the privilege of hearing the fiery holy address, the "Dvar Hashem" and guidance for the year, from the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.
First the Rebbe spoke words of aggada on the topic of thanksgiving, and explained that one should praise for the very fact that one is able to praise Hashem, and especially that each year one sees the salvation even more than the previous year, since the expansion of the boundaries of holiness through the holy powers of the Divrei Yoel zy"a, the miracle-worker, spreads further and further, both through the building of buildings and in matters of tznius and kedusha. In this connection the Rebbe mentioned the new introduction of Beis Rochel in Kiryas Joel, with the special modest attire in which the students go dressed, and announced good news that in the coming year it will b'ezras Hashem be introduced in Williamsburg as well. He continued praising our holy mosdos in Williamsburg and asked the entire public to participate warmly with generous sums.
The Rebbe mentioned with praise the Toraschaa Shaashuai chaburah, which is already preparing for the siyum HaShas this coming summer, and urged chassidim to join now at the last masechtos of Shas and to complete Shas together with many chassidim, and then begin anew from the beginning, to increase Torah and glorify it. He likewise strengthened the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah and the other chaburos of our holy kehilla. He then spoke about the war against Amalek waged by the Divrei Yoel zy"a, the miracle-worker, against the impurity of Zionism, and that it must be continued, and that one must not, chas v'shalom, have any connection with the state or take money from the impure state, and that one must strengthen all the mosdos of the Eidah HaChareidis and all the esteemed administrators so that they can continue.
In particular the Rebbe mentioned the bitter decree of drafting yeshiva bochurim in Eretz Yisroel and called out to the rabbonim and askanim working to fight the decree: Chazak v'ematz! He sharply came out against those who want, chas v'shalom, to compromise to the point that they are willing to forfeit fifty percent of the bochurim, chas v'shalom, and it is incumbent upon us to pray that the decree be nullified as soon as possible. Likewise regarding the education decree in New York, one must pray much that we be able to continue educating the children in the way handed down to us from generation to generation.

The Rebbe continued and spoke about the matter of the kashrus of mezuzos, as unfortunately many invalid mezuzos are sold, and strongly urged to be careful to buy a mezuzah only from a sofer who wrote it himself, and urged to have the mezuzos of one's home checked by an honest sofer to make sure they are kosher lechatchila. He then encouraged preparing for Yom Tov Chanukah with sefarim of chassidus, especially with the holy sefer Kedushas Levi.
The Rebbe then spoke strongly about the new takanah that was made regarding apartments in Kiryas Joel, to bring down the price of an apartment to no more than $300 per square foot in Kiryas Joel and $250 per square foot in Kiryas Joel Hamurchevet, and called upon chassidim from Williamsburg and elsewhere who seek to buy an apartment in Kiryas Joel not to pay even one dollar more, and not to be persuaded that they are catching a bargain, since it is much cheaper than in the city, "and the wise man has his eyes in his head."
Finally he spoke about the full sacrifices that social media has already claimed, may Hashem protect us, and urged all chassidim to distance themselves from it, and in particular said that one should take advantage of the gentile holidays for learning Torah in public, fathers and sons. He concluded with his holy blessings to all the assembled people, that the merit of the Divrei Yoel zy"a should protect the entire public and that they be helped with all good things.

After the address, at around 12:40, the Rebbe led the bentching on a cup, and after bentching recited the Sheva Brachos for the chassidim who were chasanim. On the way out the Rebbe thanked the askanim who helped for the success of the gathering, and the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
