Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting, the Rebbe placed the shtreimel on the chassan Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Deutsch.

On Friday evening at around 5:00, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Dovid Eckstein shlit"a. The davening ended at around 6:35. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:25 the Rebbe entered to the pure table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the young man Yissachar Ber T., son of the Rebbe's son-in-law HaGaon HaRav, Rav of the Beis Medrash Birkas Moshe shlit"a. The honor of lifting the cup for Kiddush was given to the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Dovid Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the HaGaon Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a distributed honors for the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Avrohom Krauss shlit"a (London); Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav R' Yehuda Moshe Saeed (Argentina).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And she said, 'Hashem has taken away my disgrace,'" and explained in the manner of a derush the sugya of aseh docheh lo sa'aseh.

Stories and accounts: this week the Rebbe shlit"a related about the holy Rebbe R' Aharon of Chernobyl zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on Monday, 8 Kislev.

Kah Ribon Olam: HaGaon R' Yoel Oppenheim shlit"a, dayan of our beis medrash in the Zera Kodesh neighborhood. The new chasanim went over to take fruit.

Afterward, the Shalom Zachor took place for the Rebbe's grandson, at the birth of a son to Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Meisels shlit"a, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a. Bundles were distributed and joyous melodies were sung.
Az Bayom Hashvi'i: HaGaon R' Yitzchak Shalom Friedman shlit"a, moreh tzedek. It ended at around 11:10.

And on the holy Shabbos day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Brachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Hershel Biderman (Boro Park). The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 5:00.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And Yaakov awoke from his sleep and said, 'Surely Hashem is in this place,'" and explained that every mitzvah a Jew does, and, chas v'shalom, every aveirah, reaches the Heichal of Hashem above, which corresponds to the Makom HaMikdash. Because of the sins the Beis HaMikdash was destroyed, and through reflecting on this and guarding oneself, the Beis HaMikdash is rebuilt.

After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. It ended at around 7:15.

At around 9:00 the Rebbe went to the home of R' Yoel Epstein for a lechayim celebrating the wedding of his son, mazel tov. A pleasant conversation took place about Yiddishkeit in South America, in Montevideo and in Brazil. The Rebbe drank lechayim and offered blessings to the chassan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the entire family.

From there the Rebbe went to the home of R' Chaim Avrohom Rosenfeld for a lechayim celebrating the wedding of his son, mazel tov, to the kallah, daughter of R' Shlomo Yaakov Neustadt. A pleasant conversation took place about the history of Yiddishkeit in France and Germany throughout the generations, and about the order of kashrus of meat in the early years in America. The Rebbe drank lechayim and offered blessings to the chassan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the entire family.

Afterward, at around 9:45, the Rebbe set out for Boro Park to the annual dinner 'Shelly' for the benefit of our holy mosdos, which took place in the hall of Ateres Chaya.

The Rebbe arrived at around 11:10 and greeted the rabbanim at the head table. HaGaon Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a continued with his address, and the chairman, R' Moshe Aharon Filep, called upon the director of the mosdos, R' Aharon Weltz, to deliver the report of the mosdos.

Afterward the Rebbe shlit"a delivered his holy address. After the divrei Torah, the Rebbe spoke in praise of our kehilla and our holy mosdos in Boro Park, and spoke about the expansion of the boundaries of kedusha, which is growing in quantity and quality, among other things the plans for our beis medrash on 18th Avenue, Beis Medrash Divrei Yoel, and Beis Medrash Lev Aharon, all of which are in the middle of being expanded / built, as well as the lot of the new building for Beis Rachel on 18th Avenue. He then continued and elaborated in detail in praise of the three yeshivos ketanos of our holy mosdos in Boro Park, and strongly urged the members of the community not to send their bochurim to learn in outside yeshivos, which later leads to learning in Eretz Yisroel, and one comes home entirely different from there in outlook, with a coldness toward all that is holy to us, and establishes a home on foundations different from those that our forefathers and holy Rebbes established. He concluded with abundant blessings for the administration of the mosdos and for the entire public.
The Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim and gave his holy blessing to the entire public. The event ended at around 12:05.

After the dinner, the Rebbe went to a mezuzah affixing at the home of his grandson Rabbi Meir Eliezer Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon, Rav of the Beis Medrash Birkas Moshe shlit"a. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah on the main entrance and drank lechayim. A pleasant conversation developed, and the Rebbe extended his holy blessing to his grandson and to his father-in-law, HaGaon R' Yechiel Shraga Greenfeld shlit"a, Rosh Kollel in Seymour.

At around 12:30 the Rebbe set out for home, to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
